I have a fun little 2-Minute Tip mini series for you. Over the next several weeks I am going to share quick tips on using Vellum Cardstock. Many of us used vellum WAY back when and it’s true…. it was difficult to work with. It was super thin and really delicate.
Vellum gives an amazing softness to a project but we’ve kind of turned our back on it. Many don’t know that Stampin’ Up’s vellum is CARDSTOCK vellum so it’s sturdy and much easier to work with.
Today I want to share with you how to HEAT EMBOSS using Vellum Cardstock. A lot of crafters never think about heat embossing on vellum because it’s so thin but as I said, Stampin’ Up offers a cardstock thickness of vellum and it holds up very well to the heat too.
The measurements for my card are:
- Soft Sky Cardstock – 8 ½” x 5 ½”, score and fold at 4 ¼”
- Very Vanilla – 4 ½” x 3″
- Vellum Cardstock – 4 ¼” x 2 ¾”

I am excited about sharing some fun ways to use Vellum. Who knows how many tips I will have but I plan on at least 4. It really is a lovely medium to work with.
It’s that time again! We have to say good-bye to some stamps and accessories in our current catalog as we get ready for our NEW catalog in June. So, I am stepping way out of my comfort zone today. I am making homemade Greek yogurt! While I was in Minneapolis, my friend Kelly showed me how. Oh my gosh was it GOOD! You actually make it in the microwave. It’s cooling now and then I have to strain it. It won’t be ready until later tonight and I hope it’s worth the wait.
I’m not going to share a recipe since I have no idea how it’s going to turn out yet. I will let you know.
I am very excited about it though. I have some blueberries just itching to be thrown in!
Well, that’s it for me today. Hope you have a fabulous Tuesday my sweet stampin’ peeps!!!
