I rarely sit down and create something for myself. I am always thinking about the next video or a gift I want to make for someone or cards that I want to get made to mail out. Well, over the weekend, I needed a little time away from all of that. I wanted to create something fun for my stamp room. I love it so much I thought I would share it with you today.
My friend Vickie Sanders gave me this sweet little frame during our WEDO week in Salt Lake City. WEDO week is where my girlfriends and I get together and DO WHAT WE WANT. It’s one of my favorite trips. It’s just fun to get away from home, sit in a hotel room and munch on junk food, and eat at Cheesecake Factory every night. Why? Because we can and because it’s WEDO week!
This year, we decided it would be fun to celebrate everyone’s birthday so we bought gifts for each other. Vickie gave me some fabulous stuff and included in it was a precious frame. I knew I could put something really cute inside and here is what I came up with.
The sentiment is one of my favorites… “You can never have too much happy” from the Yippee Skippee stamp set. When I am in my stamp room, I am truly happy. The Chalk Talk Framelit set had the perfect sized cut-out for my sentiment and the frame.
The flower is actually 3 different sets but these sets blend together so nicely – Mixed Bunch, Flower Shop, and Petite Petals. These 3 stamp sets have their own matching punches (love!) so it was a snap to put this little project together.
I finished it up by adding some Pool Party cotton ribbon and some of our fabulous adhesive backed rhinestones. Oh, I even took the long strips of rhinestones and added it to the inside the frame. So glad I did because it made the black just POP! Oh speaking of that black cardstock. It’s actually from the Project Life Love Story collection. It was perfect! I just had to trim it down slightly to fit my sweet frame.
Thanks for letting me share my project with you today! So, the question is….do you have little things like this laying around that are just waiting to be created? Well, get it out, dust it off, and grab your stamps. It’s time to CREATE!!!
Have a fabulous Monday my friends! Be sure to tune in tomorrow for 2-MINUTE TIP TUESDAY! It’s a great video to help you know which black ink to use and when. It’s sure to help answer some questions when you are uncertain on the 3 different black inks that we carry.
See you all tomorrow!
