Build a Bouquet and other disasters…

Simply Created Build a Bouquet - - February 23, 2015I can’t tell you how proud I was of my first few flowers!Simply Created Build a Bouquet - - February 23, 2015I won’t lie….10 hours later, my bouquet was done.  Now, before you rule out making one yourself, let me share my experience.
Simply Created Build a Bouquet - - February 23, 2015Yes, it took awhile but the final product was worth it!  SO pretty!  This is not a ‘quickie’ and it’s not something you make in one sitting but it is something you will enjoy.  Just take an evening to make up one set of the flowers, maybe two.  Another day, make up another set.
Simply Created Build a Bouquet - - February 23, 2015More than anything, I want to recommend you make it with a friend.  Brenda and I had SO much fun and we helped each other along.  We laughed a lot (and threw the floral tape across the room.  Man, I hate that stuff.)

In the end, my final bouquet tired out AHHHHMAZING!  Which is just what I needed because the snow is blowing like crazy today.
Simply Created Build a Bouquet - - February 23, 2015Brenda and I learned A LOT of things as we created this bouquet.  We are going to work on a tutorial to share with you what we learned.  Tips to make the project go together easier and faster.  We want you to learn from our mistakes.  You’re welcome.

Hmm, are you dying to make one or are you still a little nervous?  Give it a try!  Invite a friend over, have LOTS of coffee ready, and give it a go!  Here’s a list of what we used on our bouquet.  If you don’t have the Build A Bouquet stamp set, you can use Gorgeous Grunge too!

Use what you have, ORDER what you need.

I hope you’ll give this beautiful bouquet a try.  It is TRULY amazing!  And hey, right now you can earn Sale-a-Bration freebies with your order of $50 or more (before tax/ship).  Sweet!

I have just a couple more days with Brenda here so we’re going to get back to crafting.  If it’s a little quiet on the blog, just know that I am busy busy busy creating fabulous stuff to share with you later in the week.  Oh!  And guess what?!  We have designed the most coolest project EVAH for the March “Let’s Get Creative” tutorial.  It’s my favorite one yet!  I can’t wait for March 1st to share it with you.

Is it too hilarious that I’m drinking a diet coke from Sonic as I’m reading this? 🙂

Connie, I have this kit, and after hearing rumors and watching the video, I thought….what was I thinking when I ordered this? I have seriously been considering returning it for another product. I cant wait to see your video, to see if I should attempt this project!

Jeanne, don’t return it. It is SOOOO pretty! Just go in KNOWING it’s not going to take you a couple hours. Break it down over a few nights. Stamp one night, assemble 5 identical flowers the next, another 5 flowers the next. If you do that, you will be SO happy with it. It’s pretty daunting to try to do it in a day. I LOVE the final product and I mean L O V E!

Can’t wait to hear your tips. 4 of my stamp club members want to take on the bouquet! The S.U. video & I have made the poppy so far (does that count as a friend?). Need to practice the other flowers before the group gathers! Love your tips, your thrifty-ness, common sense AND humor!

So you know Miss Brenda also has trouble following instructions. Tell Miss Brenda that once she is home from her visit with Queen Connie she can help me put the bouquet together as she now as some experience that is….. by the way Connie I can’t wait to see the video. Thx for sharing I miss you both I so wanted to curl up in Brendas suitcase. Take care & God bless

  5. I totally agree abt doing this with a friend. My friend Ana and I have made 2 bouquets now, one for her and one for me. It is a lot of fun and a lot of bonding time – abt 6hrs of work (for each bouquet) but we were together for lunch and dinner too..and at the end, the result is not only beautiful but satisfying too!

Oh, Connie, when are we going to get a craft room tour? All these little glimpses are tantalizing and awesome, but I’d love to see some of the beautiful details!

  7. Looks like you did a great job. Your bouquet looks so pretty. I am glad you did it with your friend, sometimes it’s either easier or you both throw in the towel. It’s great to know it all worked out and was worthwhile.
