Did you survive Daylight Savings Time? I’m one of those who really does like the Spring Forward, Fall Back thing. I really do but it does take me a few days to adjust.
I do have a wonderful MAKE IT MONDAY project for you today. Each Monday I share a project with you PLUS a printable project sheet that you can take with you to your stamping space. You can download it too, if you prefer to work off of a laptop or tablet. No subscription, no fees, FREE because you guys are SO awesome!
I have an idea for you. Create a file in your “Documents” on your computer and call it MAKE IT MONDAY so you can always find the downloads whenever you need them. Or, you can always search the Categories (left side bar) and click on Make It Monday. You will see all of them in one place.
Want to order any of the supplies needed to create today’s Make It Monday? Click a pic! Remember, the Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum is only available through Sale-a-Bration. You can earn it for FREE with a $50 order* (before tax & ship)!
Guess what? WE ARE DONE with the office! Yay!!! I have never been so happy to have it done!
We went from this (a rare picture where this space was clean because I was about to teach a class)…
A desk for me and a desk for Mr. Awesome. I’ll let you guess which side belongs to Mr. Awesome. Here’s a hint…. Star Wars toys on the shelf. lol
I am HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY this morning as I type my blog post from a super comfy chair and a desk free of clutter. I have space to write my thank you cards to all of you now! Wahoo!
Speaking of thank you cards, here lately I’ve noticed several orders from customers who check the box not to be contacted. I have heard from a lot of you that you had no idea that checking NO to that box meant that I legally can’t contact you. In fact, your privacy is so protected that Stampin’ Up hides not only your address but even your NAME. So, if you have never received a thank you card from me for your order, this means you checked that second box “No”.
If you don’t mind a card from me and would like to opt back in, here are the steps to do that:
Hey Guys! Hope you’ve had a GREAT week so far but it’s Friday and that means one thing around here… Stampin’ Gals Gone Wild Weekend Challenge time!
I love this layout! Simple enough but fills some great space. What do you see when you see this sketch? Are you in the mood for flowers? Do you see the circles being something totally different? Can you see a sympathy card layout? Well, whatever you see, it’s time to take the STAMPIN’ GALS GONE WILD WEEKEND CHALLENGE!
This weekend’s sketch has SO many possibilities!
The circles can be cardstock, designer paper, anything!
The strip can be ribbon, paper, stamped, anything!
The circles are different sizes but get creative with your sizing!
So, your challenge is…..over the weekend create something with this layout, share your creations on the Facebook group, and enjoy some great feedback from other Wild Girls. Our group of ‘wild’ stampers is now over 1,700 strong!
Are you part of the Stampin’ Gals Gone Wild Facebook group? If not, come join in on the fun and be inspired by stampers from all over the world! I thought I would push myself out of my comfort zone and make a masculine card. I absolutely LOVE how it turned out. I’m thinking this is perfect for my friend Daniel who just graduated from the University of Oklahoma. I used the Adventure Awaits stamp set from the Occasions catalog. Whaaaa, I haven’t used this set enough on my blog for you to fall in love with it but it’s a GREAT stamp set for the guys! It’s available through June 2, 2015. It has great BIG sentiments in it and I love those because they fill up a lot of space and that means less work for me. It’s kind of hard to tell how big they are because in the catalog they are shown 50% smaller.
Here are the supplies I used on my card today. Click on a pic to order what you might want or need!
One of the things I love the most about the Stampin’ Up Incentive trips are the swaps. We each bring 25 swaps (all the same card) and Stampin’ Up swaps them out for 25 new cards created by my fellow demonstrators! It’s so much fun to see other styles and techniques.
Here is the card I create for the Hawaii swap. You guys know how much I love pink and black together… add polka dots and bling and I’m in heaven! The ½” circle Silver Glimmer paper dots set it off nicely!
The Petal Potpourri stamp set is SO fabulous! I am sad that it’s only available for a couple more weeks. It ends on June 2nd. Do you have it yet? Oh, please do yourself a favor and order this bundle. The stamp set and the punch are SO much fun! The Flower Medallion punch is returning but it’s the stamp set that is such a great WOW set! There’s nothing like it in the new catalog Guys so get it while you can.
Here are the supplies I used to create my card. Remember, if you place a $2o or more order and use the Hostess Code VED4NWV9, you’ll receive the exclusive video & tutorial for May!
I just have to say THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone and your sweet comments. I am just blown away by how kind you guys are! You have no idea how much it means to me.
I am trying to focus on what’s ahead. As I said, we got Christina moved out of the dorm and back home for the summer. I’m surprised it all fit in the Traverse but it did! Her room looked so sad when we left. The sweet girl on the right is Emily, Christina’s roommate. What a sweetie! They will be in different dorms with new roommates next year so it wasn’t good-bye forever. So, to keep from being upset or frustrated about all the bad weather going on, someone on Facebook posted this…their version of a movie poster for Tigernado! Guys, I have never laughed so hard in my life. That flying tiger in the upper left just slays me! I love it! Thought maybe it would make you giggle this morning too. Maybe not. Maybe you had to be here to hear about the tigers escaping during the tornado warnings? You had to laugh to keep from crying. I do have a great challenge for this weekend though! I thought a Color Challenge for May 8, 2015 would be fun. Create a project, any kind of project, using these three colors (you can also add Whisper White or Very Vanilla as a neutral). Last time I posted a color challenge some of you weren’t happy because you didn’t have the exact colors I used. NOT TO WORRY! Use any form of pink, light blue, and yellow. 🙂 It’s all good! I just want to help you get started with a stamping project! Use your own creativity on the layout but stick to these colors.
Hmm, what do you guys think… think I’m ready for some bright happy colors? Yep! Those dark gray skies need some happy colors in them!
So, your challenge is…..over the weekend create something with these colors, share your creations on the Facebook group, and enjoy some great feedback from other Wild Girls. We have over 1,700 members and LOTS of inspiration to share.
It’s the card I created for my Mom for Mother’s Day. I used the Mother’s Love stamp set from the Occasions Catalog. It’s a 2-Step stamp set so you stamp the flower outline in one color and the flower in another. I LOVE 2-Step stamps. They are my favorite!I had to decorate the inside of the card too. 🙂 Love how it turned out!I want to point out something about the Mother’s Love stamp set. It’s a great set even after Mother’s Day! There are only 2 stamps that really focus on Mom but that sentiment is great for birthday cards too.
Do you see those funky little stamps? Yep, those are the 2-Step that you stamp in another color and stamp right over the outline stamps. It doesn’t get any easier you guys! It’s a GREAT stamp set!!! Here are the supplies I used on my card. The items in RED are going away on June 2, 2015!
Want this month’s ‘Let’s Get Creative’ video & tutorial? Be sure to add MAY HOSTESS CODE VED4NWV9 to your order of $20 or more. Ordering more than $150? DON’T use the code so you can collect the $25 in Stampin’ Rewards AND you’ll also receive the video & tutorial!

Check out the cards I create today! Yep, just ONE set of Flash Cards 2.0! I love these little lights and I really LOVE how it looks like they are strung and held up with the flowers! This would make a pretty wedding card too. When I think of gems, I think of jewelry. When I think of jewelry, I think of Tiffany’s. When I think of Tiffany’s, I think of that fabulous blue and white together. Coastal Cabana is a dead ringer for Tiffany blue!
