Christmas Lollie

Love these Lollies!!!

Want to know how to make them?

Outer circle – 2″ x 11

Inner circle – 1 1/2″ x 11

(2) Scallop circles and (1) Large Scallop Circle

Bamboo Skewer

Hot Glue Gun

Score the strips every 1/2-inch on the Simply Scored and cut in half (1″ x 11″). Use Sticky Strip to put the ends together to form a circle. Squish it down.

Start with the largest scallop and the largest lollie. Squish the lollie in place and hold it while you put hot glue on the scallop. Press in the center and hold it for a few seconds to make sure the hot glue is holding. Repeat with a smaller scallop on the opposite side.

Repeat the process with the smaller lollie and the smaller scallop. Put hot glue on the larger lollie (small scallop) and glue the smaller on top of the bigger.

Place a strip of hot glue on the back inside of the valleys and place sharp tip of bamboo skewer inside.

Stamp a focal image for the center of your lollie.

Have fun!!

I can’t wait to try this idea. I think I’ll be making some fall lollies to go with the banner I made last fall. TFS and God Bless

I have been so excited to try this lollie. Ever since I saw the fall wreath I knew I had to do this. I have been playing in my stamp room and trying again and again. what am I doing wrong?? After I score the strips at every 1/2 inch, do I accordion fold and then bring the two opposite sides of the strip together?? How in the world do I squish it down?? Please help. I am so sad now.

ok, connie, I tried the smaller lollie, 1 1/2 ich by 11 and it worked great. So, so fun. But I still can’t get the larger one to work. It keeps ripping apart when I squish it down.

  4. Hmmm, where is it ripping apart? On the ends that you put together? make sure you are using Sticky Strip. This project requires REALLY good adhesive. I also found that you need to burnish the Sticky Strip and you should get a good hold from that. You can use hot glue to add a scallop circle to the front and back (or our Sticky Pages cut to size work great too). Again, good adhesive is a must. I hope this helps!
