Connie’s Cookie Factory

Our house looks like a cookie factory right now (and smells amazing too)!!  We have been baking cookie to take to our church to put into the lunches for the workers around town and I just had to share this recipe with you.  These are the EASIEST and most addicting cookies ever!!!!  I’m sure you already have a box cake mix sitting in your pantry right now.  Go get it and give these cookies a try!  You will thank me.  🙂

CONNIE’S CAKE MIX COOKIES

  • 1 box cake mix, any flavor
  • 6 Tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • Add-ins, if desired (chocolate chips, nuts, raisins, etc)

Mix eggs and butter together.  Add cake mix and mix well.  Add add-ins if desired.  The dough will be “wet” but if it’s just too wet to work with, add about a 1/4 cup of powdered sugar.  Drop by teaspoon, roll into a ball, and roll into the powdered sugar to coat.  Place 12 balls on an un-greased cookie sheet.  Bake at 350° for 10 minutes.  DO NOT OVER BAKE!  These cookies don’t brown and if they get overcooked they taste slightly burned.  Makes 3 dozen cookies.

Some my favorites include

  • Butter Golden Cake mix with Butterscotch chips
  • Dark Chocolate Fudge Cake mix with Peanut Butter chips
  • Orange Supreme Cake mix with dried cranberries
  • Lemon Supreme Cake mix with White Chocolate chips
  • Strawberry Cake mix with White Chocolate chips

Since I had to incorporate some stamping into my project, I made this cute tag for my cookies to take to my friend, Kim, who has been working SO hard this past week.  (I have to give them away or else I will eat them all.  I could you know.)  I hope she likes it!

Chocolate Chocolate Chip (dark chocolate cake mix and 1/2 c. chocolate chips) are the house favorite right now.

We have also made Strawberry, Funfetti (with 2 Tablespoons extra sprinkles), lemon (amazing!!) and Orange (yes, there is an orange cake mix).  So far, they have ALL been delish!

What do you think of that flower on the tag?  I thought it kinda looked like my cookies.  How cool is that?  Stay tuned!  I will be sharing a video tutorial on how to create this flower very soon!!!

The tag stamp is another SNEAK PEEK of a new stamp set from our new catalog.  It’s called CHALK TALK and…. wait for it…. it comes with a matching framelit set!!!  This will be at the top of your wish list so go ahead and add it now.  Trust me.

Have a SWEET Thursday everyone!  I need a glass of milk now.
