FABRIC FLOWERS – BIG SHOT

You may have seen these fabric flowers on some blogs recently. Shelli showed these at Convention this year and we all just went nuts for them. Want to see her flower? CLICK HERE . She made several different styles and they were all gorgeous! These flowers are made with the Flower Folds die and the Big Shot.

Well, I made my first flower today and it was SO much fun and so easy! I used 3 flowers on the die – extra small, small, and medium.

Shelli hand sewed her layers together but I am WAY to lazy to sew it so I used a little dot of Crystal Effects under each layer to hold it together. Besides, it made it easier to hold them together while I am laying them out. Then I used a little more to put the completed flower layers together. I had to sew the button on and I figure if the CE doesn’t hold, I have a little thread to keep it from falling off.

I bought 1/3 of a yard of 4 different fabrics and it looks like it will make 8 of these. So, for $0.75 a piece (plus the button), this would make a great project for the holidays. I was thinking these would be SO pretty on Christmas presents!!

Who’s shocked that I used pink and black? lol

Great job Connie! Who did the embroidery on your bag? What a clever idea and free advertising too 🙂
