Flash Card Gift Boxes

Forget the bag - wrap your gifts in style! Wood mount stamp cases! www.SimplySimpleStamping.com

I truly loved the look of the card I shared with you last week.  I had an extra one made up so I thought I would get a little creative with the Wood Mount Stamp Cases.  Did you know we offer these cases empty?  Check them out on page 197!  The half size boxes run only about $1.25 each.  What a great deal!!

You can fill them with just about anything.  I had some Fun Size candy bars in my stamp room (every stamp room, stamp area, stamp tub, stamp nook NEEDS chocolate in them) so I just put 8 of them in the box.  These Babe Ruth candy bars actually belong to my hubby, Rich, so I didn’t start decorating them up.  What would happen if he came into my stamp room, went into my “chocolate drawer” (yes, I have a chocolate drawer.  Don’t judge me.) and couldn’t find these?

Most packages of Fun Size candy bars come in packages of 8 so you’re in luck!  This box fits exactly 6!  Wait, what to do with those 2 leftovers…. hmmm…. oh geez, I can’t think of anything….NUM NUM NUM NUM NUM!!!!  Oh wait, I just thought of something.

The insert measures 3 1/4″ x 11.  Notice that little scallop white on the end?  Yeah, 11″ is not quite long enough to fill the insert so I added that so that the complete piece measured 11 1/4″.

Remember to keep the focal image flat!  You can’t use lots of embellishments on this project but you CAN use your Flash Cards!  They are the perfect fit for this project!

I can think of so many things I could put inside this box!

  • Gift cards
  • Homemade fudge
  • Christmas candy
  • Jewelry
  • Drink packets (you know, those little single serving things)
  • Hershey Kisses
  • A pretty notepad and pen
  • Post-it Notes
  • Use as a photo frame.  Fill it with those glass marbles for weight and put photos on either side for your desk.

So many possibilities.  And when you get (4) of them for only $4.95 (US Item #127552), they are SUPER affordable to make!  I would love to hear what YOU would put inside these boxes!  Leave me a comment and share your thoughts!

Have a great day everyone!

Connie, your sense of humor is great – love it! I have a old library card catalog file (you know, the old wooden ones that we use to pick through), well, my chocolate has it’s own drawer, label & all. ok, so the other’s have titles like “ink refills” “pop dots” (dimensionals will always be popdots to me) etc., but CHOCOLATE has a home of it’s own! Oh yes, love your videos and your frugal use of card stock too!

I love these boxes. I made one for my 2 year old granddaughter to take in the car, church, shopping or when ever her mom needs an emergency distraction for her. I put several crayons in there with stamp images on CS for her to color and I had enough room to fit a small bag of her favorite candy: M&M’s. I decorated the case all the way around using fun DSP. She loves it!!! ( Especially the candy 🙂 )

  4. I’ve got a drawer that always has chocolate in it, too. There’s other crafting suppllies in there, too, but my family always knows where to go for their fix.
