FLASH CARDS 2.0 – Up-Cycle Ribbon Slider Card – Video No. 13

image001WOO HOO!  It’s time for Stampin’ Girls Gone Wild!  As promised, today is our first video as Josee Smuck and I share with you new videos with new techniques every Wednesday .
We flipped a coin and I won so this week, you get to see my video in a new series called Up-Cycle It!  I will be showing you fun ways to use all those “trashy” items in your recycle bin and convert them into fun works of art.  Are you excited?  I know I am!  I must say I am looking at trash in a whole new way.

Check out today’s project!  Don’t you just LOVE it?  This card was created with — you guessed it — soda pop tabs and some old nail polish I was about to throw away.  I’m so glad I didn’t because I think this card is amazing!  I love the look of ribbon slides but how fun is this?  Make your own!  Super easy too!

Want to purchase any of the supplies from today’s card?  GREAT!

Cute! And such an easy-to-do embellishment. I NEVER toss nail polish, and even have bought some in colors that I would never wear because it works so well for things like this, and recoloring buttons and brads…

    • Connie says:

Funny you mention coloring brads and buttons because I almost “painted” the celery brad I used on the flower! I had never thought about buttons so now you have me thinking about that! Another way I recycle is to cut off the buttons on old shirts before I toss them. Those white buttons would be so easy to cover in nail polish! Thanks for inspiring me!

  1. […] Daffodil Delight is a rather bright colour, and one that I do not often use. However, today’s card using the Oh Hello stamp set works beautifully with this colour. My design is based on a Flash Card by Connie Stewart. […]
