Gray Skies are Gonna Clear Up…

…Put on a Happy Face.  Oh wait!  Wrong song!  Let’s try this one…

You Make Me Happy when Skies are Gray…

Flash Cards 2.0 - www.SimplySimpleStamping.comI don’t know about the weather where you live but here in Oklahoma…we have gray skies.  It’s a dreary day but it reminded me of a quote from “Steel Magnolias”.

“I love cloudy days!  On cloudy days I feel like God’s not trying very hard so I don’t have to either.”

– Shelby Eatenton-Latcherie

It was a perfect day to spend in my bright and cheery new stamp room!  I have been so anxious to play with one of our new stamps from the upcoming Sale-a-Bration event (See Ya Later is the name of it)!  Stay tuned to www.SimplySimpleStamping.com for all the details on this FABULOUS give-away!

Flash Cards 2.0 - www.SimplySimpleStamping.comI incorporated the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to give the illusion of rain on this FLASH CARD 2.0.  Those puffy clouds were from the new Word Bubbles Framelit dies.  How perfect are they?  LOVE!

Oh, and speaking of “Steel Magnolias”, I don’t think I shared my big news.  Christina and I auditioned for a local production of this BEAUTIFUL play and we were both cast!  No, not mother and daughter but Christina will be playing Shelby (the role Julia Roberts played in the movie) and I will be reprising my role at Truvy.  Mr. Awesome says I am much better than Dolly Parton.  Just saying’.  And yes, I did say reprising my role.  23 years ago I played Truvy and I did it one week before our wedding day.  Crazy, right?  Is it any crazier than doing a huge remodeling project WHILE in rehearsals?  Nah.

I hope you like today’s card!  It’s almost cruel to share a stamp set that you can’t get until January 28th.  <insert evil laugh here>

Hope you all have a BRIGHT and CHEERY day!  Gray skies are gonna clear up!  Put on a happy face and know that YOU GUYS ARE MY SUNSHINE!

Hello Connie: Well, it’s been not rainy but FREEZING up here in Crown Point, IN. and now, we are officially “defrosting”, it was a very, very, brutally cold start of 2014 but, for now, the temps are in the low 30s. and will go up to 38!! WOW, that’s “warm” compared with below 20!!!
But I do love rainy days, and I love your card and I happen to have that awesome Gorgeous Grunge set so, I will be CASEing this for sure.
Congratulations of being chosen for this play, I love that movie and I would love to go see you and your daughter on stage.
I can’t wait till you show us your finished stamp room, for what we’ve seen, it’s coming along fabulously great.
Thank you for all your Flash Cards videos, I’ve been on a Flash Card making frenzy with this cold weather. I’m making 40 cards for the Operation Write Home (OWH), who sends hand made cards to our Hero Troops overseas so they can send this cards to their families and friends back here at home.
Thank you again and God Bless you.

Such fun on the cloudy card – great use of grunge for rain in the background. Thanks for the peek.

Warm & humid here in SW Florida – but, we had a couple of cold, ha, days – I even wore sweat pants with shoes and SOCKS, yikes!!

Have a terrific day – you radiate sunshine:)

Cute card, Connie and a fun look ahead at new products. It isn’t a bit evil at all, it is nice to have something to look forward to this month. We have lots of dreary days here in the PNW too. Your month sounds busy and fun. Can’t wait to hear more about how the rehearsals and play goes for you and Christina. Congratulations and have a good time.
