In case you missed it in the video, here is the recipe for the hot cocoa mix.

CONNIE’S GOURMET HOT COCOA

  • (1) can of store brand Hot Cocoa Mix (don’t buy the good stuff)
  • (1) small box of Chocolate or Chocolate Fudge Instant Pudding Mix

Pour the hot cocoa mix into a large bowl.  Add the pudding and mix well.  The pudding just slightly thickens the hot cocoa and brings out more chocolate flavor.  Measure according to the directions on hot cocoa can.

CHOCOLATE-COVERED

CHERRY HOT COCOA

  • (1) can of store brand Hot Cocoa Mix (don’t buy the good stuff)
  • (1) small box of Chocolate or Chocolate Fudge Instant Pudding Mix
  • (1) packet Cherry Kool-Aid
  • 1/2 cup sugar

In a large bowl, mix the sugar, Kool-Aid, and pudding; mix well.  Add the can of hot cocoa mix and mix again.  Measure according to the directions on hot cocoa can.  You can use any flavor of Kool-Aid – Orange and Strawberry are good too!  If you want more “cherry” flavor, double the sugar and use 2 packages of Kool-Aid.

And like I said yesterday, the best part about this cocoa is that you can make a big batch for under $3.00 and trust me when I tell you… your friends will think this is Godiva Hot cocoa!  It’s that rich and that good!

Thanks so much for being with me today!  I am honored to be your Stampin’ Up online instructor and Demonstrator!  Go enjoy your day!

Hi Connie, I love this but in Australia we are in Summer at this time of year but I was thinking of a Mothers’ Day gift in May could be nice with different paper and who knows what SU will have then for decorations? Hot chocolate is much nicer in cooler weather and Mothers Day in May is in autumn (Fall) and much cooler. Thanks again Connie.

Connie, I am a recent “devotee”..so I am catching up on a lot of past videos. I love this idea. One question this is not instant hot chocolate is it? This the type that is made with milk and not hot water. I just want to make sure before I go shopping. Keep up the great work, you have given me lots of inspiration and enjoyment. Cheers
