Make It Monday – Balloon Adventure Birthday

MAKE IT MONDAY - FREE tutorial at www.SimplySimpleStamping.com

Hello my sweet stampin’ friends!  I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!  I’ll have to share about my weekend.  It did not go as planned…. but in a good way.  Before I do, I want to show you today’s Make It Monday project.

I am just CRAZY over this card.  The new Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper Stack is going to be a new favorite of mine.  The colors and patterns are just amazing!

Just a touch of vintage but at the same time, it has such a modern flair!  How does Stampin’ Up do it?  Who cares?  I LOVE it!

This card is perfect for EVERYONE – the adults, the guys, the kids!  This paper stack is going to be great for creating cards to fit everyone.

So, you may recall that here in Oklahoma we were preparing for, what the meteorologists called an “Epic Ice Storm”.  We were expecting up to 1-inch of ice, which was sure to cause major damage to power lines and trees.  We stocked the house with food and charged all the batteries and electronic devices.  Christina came home from college so if her dorm lost power at least she would have the fireplace to keep warm here.  The city shut down on Friday because by Friday afternoon it was sure to be a big mess. They brought in 1,100 power line workers to help with the anticipated power outages. Every school closed in anticipation of this epic storm.

Are you dying to know what happened?  NOTHING.  Not a darn thing!  Not a drop of rain on Friday or Saturday.  I even went for a walk on Saturday morning (no rain but OH was it cold).

It did finally rain on Sunday but the temperatures were in the mid 30’s-40’s so no freezing rain, no ice.  So our epic ice storm turned into an epic fail.  Our poor meteorologists are getting such flack for it too.  Me?  I’m THRILLED!  I didn’t want an ice storm for heaven sake!  I don’t know why people get so upset when the meteorologists get it wrong.  All the radars showed what was coming but you can’t always predict what Mother Nature will do.

We hadn’t planned on going anywhere so we just stayed in, watched movies, and the girls made cookies (you know those powdered sugar wedding cookies?  YUM!)  It wasn’t an epic fail in my house!  It was FUN!

I did get some stamping done over the weekend.  I’m preparing some awesome stuff for the Spoiled Stamper Support Group (see details below).  I can’t wait for February 1st to get here!

What a fun, cute card, Connie. Glad your area didn’t get the predicted ice. Here in Delaware, we got a little ice on the trees and windshields, but not on the roads or driveways. Yay!!

Sounds like the “Epic Fail” turned into “Epic FUN’! So glad to hear that everything is good with you and yours!

So glad to hear that things went well for you this weekend. On Saturday we celebrated my husband’s and my niece’s birthday. We had sunshine, snow, sleet and then rain in the course of the party. So Oklahoma is not the only one where the weathermen get things screwy!! New Jersey doesn’t seem much better. I do have a question about your new club – do we have to order $50.00 every month to get all the good stuff? I just spend $100.00 on December 31st so I have to curtail my spending. Love to you and yours Connie and may you have the best of everything in 2017!!!!

This is a new program that I am starting and how it works is anyone who spends $50 or more in January will receive access for the February group. Spend $50 in February, you get access for March. You don’t have to spend $50 every single month but when you do, you will have 1-month access to the group for the following month.

There will be exclusive tutorials, stamping games, prizes, and a fun place where you can share what you’ve been stamping. I’m really excited about this new program!
