MAKE IT MONDAY - FREE tutorial at www.SimplySimpleStamping.com

While I was in Arizona last week, Sharon and Jackie and I had an amazing time stamping together.  We were all making Birthday cards and I remembered seeing something like an odometer using the Number of Years stamp set.  This is what I came up with.

I sent a picture of it to Mr. Awesome who replied, “Looks good.  Can I sign it and give it to you?”  That man… <sigh>

I really love how this turned out and what I love most is that this card is perfect for the MEN… and we all struggle with cards for the guys, right?

It was just so easy with this stamp set!  Since this set is Photopolymer, I could see perfectly where to stamp my numbers.

These photos just warmed my heart so much!  This was the closing night of “The Sound of Music” and this was the night Christina came to see her sister in the lead role of Maria.

One thing about the Stewart girls…. we cry.  We don’t WANT to cry but we cry anyway.  The moment that Ginny walked on stage singing “The hills are alive with the sound of music…” Christina was in tears….and yes, so was I.

I know I brag on my girls a lot but when you are blessed with sisters who love each other as much as these two, I just can’t help it.  For so long now it has been Christina in the lead roles, mainly because Ginny is still so young, but this past week was Ginny’s turn to shine in the lead.  Christina just couldn’t be more thrilled to hand over the torch to Ginny at Moore High School.

Is our time on the stage done for a while?  Nope!  lol  Christina just started rehearsals for the musical “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels” (you might know the movie with Steve Martin and Michael Cain).  She plays Jolene, the girl from Oklahoma.  In the movie its a smaller role but on stage it’s much bigger. Jolene is a “not so nice” girl from Oklahoma and she sings all about her love for her state.  It’s a big “belt” song and that is Christina’s  vocal style.  So, the first week in April we will be back to see Christina take the stage.
