Happy Monday everyone! I am so excited to be back here on the blog AND to be back home. I spent the last week in Minneapolis, Minnesota for the Stampin’ Up OnStage conference. I had the BEST time. I will share more below but i wanted to get started with today’s Make It Monday project. It was inspired by a card that a friend made using one of the new stamp sets that will be in the new catalog. I changed the stamp set, changed the colors as well, and voila! I created a quick and easy masculine birthday card!
Masculine cards are always a challenge but just wait until you see what stamp set I used to create this manly card. There’s nothing masculine about the stamp set at all! It’s the That’s the Tag stamp set from the Occasions catalog (page 23). It’s a bundle as well but I chose to use just the stamps for this card.

I colored the dots with a pink Sharpie marker. They look like bubbles!
As I mentioned earlier, I had a great time in Minneapolis. I never even thought about the fact that Mall of America was in Minneapolis! I have always wanted to go there. I’m not much of a “shopper” so we pretty much just wandered around. We did stop for dinner there on Saturday night because I had to try a Minneapolis staple – the Juicy Lucy. I ate it before I remembered to take a photo so I swiped this one off the internet but check this out! The inside of the burger is filled with cheese. I was in beef & cheese heaven!!! I have to tell you, my stomach is growling as I look at this photo. No trip to Minnesota would be complete without Cheese Curds either. Here in Oklahoma we have fried cheese, sure, but Cheese Curds are the rich uncle to fried cheese. The cheese was so smooth and yummy.
The conference itself was incredible. It always is. I have seen the new catalog and although I can’t show it to you yet, I can tell you that you are going to LOVE it! There are so many new fun stamps and framelits waiting for you!!!
A highlight for me was meeting some of my team members for the first time. I had a blast hanging out with Mary Beth and Tracie! These two had me laughing and smiling all day. I had other team members who attended some of the other venues that Stampin’ Up hosted and I have been stalking Facebook to catch some photos. It looks like everyone had a marvelous time. That makes my heart happy.
Before I close I do have something very important to tell you. A couple of weeks ago, my email server, Cox Communications, sent me a message saying they were going to shut off my email address due to….. wait for it…. “lack of activity for over 150 days”. You have GOT to be kidding me? I send dozens of emails every DAY. What do you mean lack of activity? I contacted Cox before I left to check on this and they assured me that the email was sent in error. Well, you guessed it….they shut down my email address. Anyone who contacted me got a message saying that the account was deleted. Thank heavens I have a back-up email address but I was one unhappy camper. I spent an hour on the phone with them and they had no clue why this happened. It’s back on but I still think a lot of my emails aren’t coming in. With that being said, if you contacted me last week and you haven’t heard back from me, would you send me another email? I would really appreciate it and I apologize for the inconvenience. I think it may be time to shop for a new email provider. I am not impressed with Cox right now. They really didn’t fix the problem… Mr. Awesome did.
Well, my rant is done and as you can imagine, after being gone for a week, I have a lot to catch up on. Laundry, emails (those that I could save), and I have a new idea for a 2-Minute Tuesday Tip video I want to share. Join me tomorrow!
