Has this every happened to you? Of course it has. We’ve all done it. We start creating a project and then BAM, we drop our card on an ink pad or drop the stamp in the middle of the card. OH NO! Card ruined! Well, don’t throw out that card just yet.
I was creating this card last week (you may recognize it from my video on Friday) and while I was creating, my card landed right on the edge of my Basic Black ink pad. I couldn’t save the card with the idea I was going for but then… LIGHTBULB MOMENT!
I don’t have to throw this card base away. I can just cover it! TA DA! A new card was created!
How easy was that? A 4 ¼” x 5 ½” piece of Designer Series Paper and no more boo-boos! And it was that boo-boo that inspired today’s Make It Monday!
It turned out beautiful, don’t you think? From horrible to lovely! Yep, all it needed was a little Designer Series Paper.
I love the Silver Foil embossed with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder. It added such a nice touch. And that Silver Metallic Thread gave a softness and sophistication to the card as well.
Now it’s YOUR turn to create (only you don’t have to make the boo-boo)! Want to work off your mobile device? Just take it to your stamp space and work from here.
Would you rather save the document to your computer?
Can I make a recommendation? Create a file in your “Documents” on your computer and call it MAKE IT MONDAY so you can always find the downloads whenever you need them. Or, you can always search the Categories (right side bar) and click on Make It Monday. You will see all of them in one place.
Here’s what you’ll need to create the THANK YOU FOR CARING CARD. Use what you have, order what you need. Just click a pic!

What a GREAT weekend we had camping!!! It poured rain non-stop Friday night through Saturday night (and we loved every minute of it). First of all, we needed the rain here in Oklahoma and the other reason, it made us stay in and get some work done.
We’ve been needing to update the TV for awhile. Now that TV stations broadcast in HD, our old TV and that little box to the left no longer work. We had a converter inside the cabinet but it was time to update.
Mr. Awesome tore out all the panels
I think he brought every tool he had from home
This just looks like a hot mess to me but luckily he knew what everything connected too.
He worked on it all weekend long and his engineering mind created…
…THIS! It turned out great!!! We went from a 19″ TV to a 32″ and check out the custom shelf he had to build. Nice work, Mr. Awesome!
We will paint all of this at some point but for now, I am one happy camper!
As for me? Well, I spent the weekend tying bows on some wedding invitations I am working on for a friend. I promised them to her by Tuesday so I need to print the insert and deliver them. The bows were the one thing I kept putting off but with no distractions, and the sound of the rain outside to enjoy, I got them done.
So glad you could stop by today! I hope you enjoyed today’s card and will add it to your list of “Must Make”. Be sure to pin this card to your Pinterest boards! How? Just click the PINTEREST button at the bottom of this post!
