Masculine Flash Card (plus Cardstock Cutting Guide for Australia)

My daughter’s boyfriend has a birthday next week.  He is a real sweetheart and I wanted to make a special card for him but when it comes to cards for the guys, this is where I really struggle.  Do you?

Richard loves music and has been the high school drum major for the past couple years (not to mention a voice that will make you melt).  I thought it would be nice to include that love of music into his card.

FLASH CARD - Masculine Make A Wish - - created by Connie StewartMusic Notes Stampin’ Around Wheel to the rescue!  Doesn’t it look great?  Wahoo!  Not a typical “manly” stamp but it works perfect here!

FLASH CARD - Masculine Make A Wish - - created by Connie StewartI also used the Hardwood background stamp and Perfect Pennants stamp sets from the “Celebrate the Everyday” catalog.  Plus that FABULOUS burlap ribbon from that catalog.  It adds the perfect masculine touch!

FLASH CARD - Masculine Make A Wish - - created by Connie StewartI thought the Mosaic Madness stamp set & punch added a great touch.  It almost has a “music note” flair to it.

Before I close, I promised my Aussie friends a version of my Cardstock Cutting Guide to fit their measurements. If you are from Australia, I hope you will take a moment to download this file.  Enjoy!!

Connie, I bet our Australian stamping friends will be eternally grateful for this metric guide. If your hubby can pull this off, then we need to get him a trophy or a plaque stating that he wins the “Mr. Wonderful, Mr. Awesome and Mr. Fabulous” award.

I printed the 8 1/2 by 11 one on white cardstock and the 12 x 12 one on pink pirouette so I could tell at a glance which one I needed. They are back to back in a sheet protector with ribbon–thanks for all the great tips!!!

  8. Helen Nagle says:
