Wow!  It’s almost Turkey Day!  I wanted to create a little home decor/Table centerpiece for Thanksgiving and this is what I came up with.

Thanksgiving Centerpiece - www.SimplySimpleStamping.comThe “center” is a really fun technique I learned with the Lattice Bigz die.  I just love the unique feel it gives a simple die cut.  Inside the lattice is a battery operated tea light.  I LOVE these tea lights!!

Around the outer edges, I used another Bigz die – Autumn Accents.  After I cut them out I ran them through different embossing folders.

Thanksgiving Centerpiece - www.SimplySimpleStamping.comMy sentiment is from the Expressions Thinlits from our Holiday catalog.  These Thinlits are SO pretty and I can use them year round.  Included in the set are “Merry”, “Love”, and “Thankful”.  It really made the whole project come together.

A charger plate gave it more “umph” and made it look a little bigger too.  All in all, I think I have a very pretty Thanksgiving centerpiece.

I liked this one so much I started working on a Christmas version with a snowflake theme.  I will post pictures of that one when I’m finished. That will give me something fun to work on on Black Friday.  I DON’T venture outside my house on Black Friday.  I did it once and once was enough for me.  🙂  Last year, for some bizarre reason, I woke up at 4am and THOUGHT about going ahead and going out.  Then the flashbacks of Black Friday 2007 came back to haunt me and I knew to just go back to sleep.

If you’re a Black Friday shopper, may the lines be short, the sales be plentiful, and the shopper be kind!  Have fun my stamping friends!
