Purse/Tote Bag

I’m going to the Stampin‘ Up convention at the end of July and my friend Melissa inspired me to make this purse to take with me. I used the new stamp set “Fresh Cuts’. Now, I must say that I was not a huge fan of this stamp set. It’s just not my personal style, but now that I have played with it, I”M IN LOVE! It is really a versatile stamp set…when you think outside the box! 😉

I have a Xyron machine to do the laminating and a Bind-It-All to punch the holes in the side. Now that the project is done, I wish I had used the wide grosgrain ribbon to “fill in the holes” a little more. Live and learn!

This project took several hours to make but it was really fun to do so time really didn’t matter to me. Well, so much for keeping my blog strictly simple and quick stamping projects! 😉

If you would like the instructions, just email me at connie.stewart@cox.net and I will forward them to you.

  2. Beautiful – I can picture this using chipboard for the base and then using it to show off mini catalogs at events! Whoo hoo!

Thanks for sharing this brilliant project.
