Repurposing my Christmas Candles

You may recall a couple months back I shared a set of candles I made for my mantel at Christmas.
Stampin' Gals Gone Wild Wednesday - Christmas Candle - www.SimplySimpleStamping.com These incredible battery operated candles were just too pretty to put away after Christmas.  I gently slid the cover off and redesigned the candles for all-year decor.  What do you think?

The colors, oh the colors, work perfectly in my living room!  I am just so tickled at how they turned out!

They look absolutely AMAZING in my house!  So glad I decided not to pack them up with the Christmas decorations.

You can find these great battery operated candles just about everywhere nowadays – department stores, craft stores, etc.  Sometimes they come in sets of 3.  I found mine in a set of 7 PLUS it came with a remote control.  How cool is that?  Candles ON with a touch of a button.  I’m so high-tech.

Below is a list of the supplies I used but truthfully, it’s all about creativity.  Find colors that work in your home, stamps that you already have, and then use your punches, framelits, and embossing folders to your heart’s content!

I think the thing that surprised me the most was the Designer Paper I used.  It’s called Lullaby.  Yep,  it’s meant for a baby but hey, if the paper works, use it!  Hello Honey and Baked Brown Sugar are my living room colors!

Want to create these yourself?  CLICK HERE to see the video I posted back in November.  Just remember, base your measurements on your candles.

I hope you guys like today’s project and that it inspires you to create something different and out of the box!

Have a great weekend everyone!  Get distracted in your stamps this weekend!  It’s too cold to do anything else so why not create?

See ya back here on Monday!

  3. I’m doing the same with mine. Great minds…I’m decorating them for a baby shower, #5 grandson. Then I’ll do them to match my decor. I love the battery operated candles, you can use all sorts of embellies without the worry of a flame.
