Sneezing, coughing, aching, stuffy head, and more

I wish I could tell you that I spent my New Years creating fabulous cards, gifts, and home decor projects so we could kick off 2015 with a bang.  Instead, I spent the new year, wishing I could take nail, hammer it into my head, to release the pressure in my sinuses.  UUUUGGGGHHHH!  I want this GONE!

The sinus infection has just knocked me to the couch.  I’m all set with pot of hot tea, a table full of meds, the remote control, and a fluffy puppy who just wants me to play.  I was feeling really miserable when suddenly, the doorbell rings.  Could it be????  YES!!!!  UPS delivered my box of heaven!
Thank God for Puffs with VicksThanks to so many of you who found my beloved Puffs with Vicks on Amazon!!!  I have never been so grateful for my Prime membership.  As soon as I read your comments, I immediately ordered a case (which I now see may have been a bit extreme).  I tore open a box and the most heavenly scent arose straight to my nose…..ahhhhh, Vicks.  I love you so much!  I’m not joking, I took a nap with a Vicks tissue on my face.
Thanks Puffs with Vicks!Yeah, this is me today.  Connie the Red Nosed Stamper.  Oh, and a little update on Ginny.  She has the most horrible case of the flu and today she was finally starting to look and sound better.  That was one sick little girl. The only thing worse than a child with the flu is being too sick yourself to take care of your child with the flu.  The good news is that Mr. Awesome took this week off so he’s taking good care of both of us.

Well, like many of you, the beginning of the year is a time for changes and resolutions and since I am not able to stamp, I thought I would share with you some fun new things in store at Simply Simple Stamping for 2015!

** NEW EXCLUSIVE VIDEOS & TUTORIALS – For those of you who are so kind to use the monthly Hostess Code, I  am changing things up.  I will now be offering one OVER THE TOP project as the monthly exclusive.  Place an order of $20 or more through my online store and use the monthly Hostess Code to receive the private video link and the files needed to make the project.  You will love the new style, I promise.

** MORE VIDEOS EACH MONTH – Since I will be offering one BIG over the top video, this will free up time to share more videos each month.  That means more Flash Cards, more Now to Wow cards, more 2-Minute Tuesday Tips!

** MONTHLY CHALLENGES – Join me each month for fun challenges.  It’s time for Simply Simple Stamping to be interactive!  I want to see what you’re creating and stretch your imagination.  Sketch Challenges!  Color Challenges!  Stamp Set Challenges!

** STAMPIN’ GALS GONE WILD CHANGES – The new monthly challenges will be taking the place of Stampin’ Gals Gone Wild Wednesday.

Josee and I have been reflecting on what we want from 2015 and one of those changes is to shake things up with our businesses.
Josee and I have had a great time with Stampin’ Gals Gone Wild and we hope that you have enjoyed it.  We had a blast sharing videos with you every Wednesday but we decided we each wanted to try some new things this year so we are no longer going to be posting on each other’s blogs.  No, we are not mad at each other or had a falling out.  In fact, far from it!  We are very good friends!  We just wanted to do some different things in 2015.
I am going to continue to run the Stampin’ Gals Gone Wild Facebook group.  There’s some great sharing going on and we don’t want to see that stop so to some degree, Stampin’ Gals Gone Wild will continue.  🙂
For those of you who were Paypal subscribers, you will see an email from Paypal informing you that your subscription has been canceled.  Thank you so much for your support!!!

I am really excited about this next year and sharing new and exciting things with you!  My promise to you… as soon as I get over this sinus junk, I am going to be back with lots of great ideas!  For now, it’s back to the couch.  Thank heavens for Netflix.  🙂

Hope you guys had a wonderful 2015 kick-off!  I really hope to be back on Monday!

(Please disregard any typos or nonsense in today’s post.  I blame the meds!)

Love you all!  See ya soon!

I hope you feel better soon.

We have been dealing with this stuff since Christmas morning. First me and now my husband. I think he ended up with more than a cold. I had to take him to the doctor yesterday and they put him on Penicillin but the temp is still climbing. I have a call into the doctor now and waiting, it is now 102.9. He is so congested and can’t quit coughing.

    Need those puffs here.

Oh, Connie. I hear you, my “friend”. I have been so sick for almost the entire month of December! I just came to the realization that my “strange cough” is actually whooping cough! I thought that was a thing of the past. Not in our household. My daughter and I have quite bad cases of it! I hope we’re all feeling better SOON!

Hi Connie, Helpful hint for your cough:
Apply Vicks to the bottom of your feet,…all over bottom….it will stop your coughing. Good for daughter’s flu bug also.
Works every time. Learned this thru the Amish people.

You poor dear. Sorry you have had that bug but now hope the worst is over and you are ready to start this new year with a bang of great ideas.
Ad you know my eye sight is getting worse and I find it hard to use markers to color the images but I keep trying. Have resorted to doing spong background with a stamp over it. Framelites help to make it interesting. I may not past thje4 drivers test this month an will be unable to drive myself. It is a bitter pill to swallow but with God help and many friends I hope to get alone ok.
I still stamp with a friend every Tuesday and she helps me so much. Stamping friends are the greates.
You are still my top demenstrater and I regreat I am not able to send orders regularly.
    Get Well
