Snowflake Ornament Video Tutorial

IT’S SO NICE TO BE BACK!!!!

I have really missed being here with you guys!  You have NO idea how much I missed it!  After being sick for close to 2 weeks, it’s nice to be back among the living.  It was even nicer to be back making videos again!

I have a project that I have been anxious to share with you and today I had a voice, I wasn’t coughing up a lung, and actually had the energy to get back to creating.  So glad the worst is over!

Video Tutorial - Snowflake Ornament - www.SimplySimplStamping.comWhat do you think about today’s project?  I have been wanting to share this with you because Christmas is just a couple weeks away.  I know many of you have your Christmas trees up but this snowflake would also make a great gift tag, don’t you think?  It looks super complicated but really, it’s quite simple.

The Lattice Bigz die does most of the work and a Vintage Faceted button and a Frosted Finishes Embellishment take it to AWESOME status!

This snowflake is really pretty no matter what color cardstock you use so get creative!

Let’s get going with today’s video.  Oh, before you watch it…I had to do a lot of chopping to cut out coughing and sniffing.  Sorry.  Also, bear in mind that I have been without coffee for 6 days too (tea was my drink of choice last week) so there are some errors.  Don’t ever let me go this long without coffee again!  Ugh.

What do you think?  Pretty nifty, huh?

A big thank you to Christina Kolivopoulos for sharing Steffi Nitzpon‘s video with me.  It’s in German but I was able to follow along with how she made the snowflake.  Thanks Girls!

Oh Connie, it’s so fabulous that you are well again and sharing your creativity with us. I LOVE THIS ORNAMENT!!!!! and I have this awesome die, I think this is one of the first dies I bought from SU long ago. When I saw the picture of this ornament I kind of thought it was going to be really difficult to make but, to my delight, it’s not and I love the fact you gave the measurements for it and that you can get 5 squares from one sheet of 12×12 piece of CS. This really would look amazing on the Christmas Tree.
Thank you so much for the video and again, I’m so happy you are all well now. Take care and God Bless you.

It’s good to be back! And actually, it’s only a 8 ½” x 11″ piece of cardstock. 🙂 But if you use 12×12, just cut it into 4″ x 4″ squares.

She’s BAAAAACK! Woohoo! This is such a cool ornament–now I will have to consider getting this die. Loved the comment about having your trash can nearby. 🙂 Does SU still sell the little pop-up waste basket? I’ve tried to buy one like it locally but only see big ones and forget about making one–not happening.

    • Connie says:

We don’t sell anything like that. I’ve made them before, well, not the pop-up kind but the ones that hang off your desk. I’ll keep my eye out for them!

Love it. Wish I had everything Stampin up sales. But, can’t afford it all.

First of all, welcome back. You don’t want to be sick during Christmas. This ornament is really pretty…I thought it was going to be realllly complicated, but not too bad. Of course you have the nack of simplifying for us and making us think “I can do that”. Thank you for sharing your time and talents.
