I rarely do a “card only” stamp club but this month, I really wanted to focus on some new techniques! Well, they may be new to some of you, and to others, they are oldies but goodies! It was so much fun to pull out some of those old techniques and make them fresh again! All my Club girls just LOVED the new ideas!!

The top card is a great way to use those punches, Girls! And the texture on this card just makes it “pop”! I used 2 of our Texturz Plates. The cross-hatch background was never one of my favorites but when I needed a texture for the ice cream cone, this was PERFECT!

The second card used a beautiful technique called Polished Stone. Unfortunately, the picture doesn’t quite capture the beauty of this technique because there is a stunning silver metallic finish to it! This technique is really easy to do too! Dot a little silver metallic reinker on a piece of glossy cardstock (no other paper will work NOR will photo paper, sorry). Wet a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol and dot on some reinker. On my sample, I used 4 drops of Pale Plum and 1 drop of So Saffron. Begin to tap the ink of the cardstock, moving the silver metallic ink around. Keep tapping until you get the look you want. Allow it to dry and then stamp on it! When you are all done, use aerosol hair spray to set it. Gorgeous!!!!!

My last card has always been a favorite technique called a Spinner card. The scallop spins across the opening of the card and let me tell you, it’s a card you just can’t put down! You can’t help but PLAY with it!
