You didn’t show how to get the rubber stamp off of the wood mount.

    • Connie says:

I convert my stamps right when I get them so I never adhere them to the wood. If you want to convert pre-mounted stamps, this is what I have heard other people do. Put the stamp in the microwave for about 5-7 seconds. This will warm up the glue. Use an old knife or an X-Acto knife to GENTLY lift it off the wood. From what I understand there is no successful way to get the sticker off the wood block so you will have to go “image-free” if you use this method.

Hi Connie, Love the download, but can’t get size to change to fit case. It prints out to be 8 1/2 x 11 Thanks

    • Connie says:

Mary Ann, it will print 8 ½” x 11″ but you just cut it down around the tick marks. The final insert will be 5 ¾” x 7″. Hope that helps!

  3. Debra says:

Connie, thank you so much for the pdf. This sure will come in handy, especially for those used stamp sets that don’t come with the inserts. You are a gem!

  4. Mary Ann says:

Thanks Connie, I finally got it to change and print out right. I knew I had to cut it down, but it was still 8 1/2 x 11. I had to shrink my down some. Thanks for your help. Love all your projects.

  5. Mary Ann Huntington says:

Great idea Connie. I have changed all of my wooden stamps but I bought SU foam and put the rubber on that. Your idea is sure a lot easier and cheaper!

  6. Linda Robbins says:

Connie….Linda here ….LOVE the idea on changing my wood to clear……..but you never said HOW to get the stamps off the wood block……I tried many time before to do that……but I damaged the rubber…….and where do I get the clear plastic to put on my stamp after it is off the wood block???????Sorry I didn’t get that memo……..bye the way…..I LOVE ALL your video’s…….sorry, I’m a little behind in stuff like this………had to much coffee toooo. Email me at
ljrobbins@drtel.net. Thanks again …….P.S. when can we see your new stamping room??????????????????? Linda R. N.D.

    • Connie says:

Linda, this video was on how to convert stamps before you mount them. If you want to convert pre-mounted stamps, this is what I have heard other people do. Put the stamp in the microwave for about 5-7 seconds. This will warm up the glue. Use an old knife or an X-Acto knife to GENTLY lift it off the wood. 7. Geri says:

Thanks for the template! I put my stamps in the microwave about 9 seconds and both the stamp and image peel off. Then I use the 2-way glue instead. Doesn’t take long to dry to the “sticky” reposition-able effect.

    • Connie says:

Thank you so much Geri! I’ve never done it so I wasn’t sure how it works. You’re wonderful for sharing!!

  8. Lois says:

    where is the pdf?

    • Connie says:

It’s in the post. It says “Create your own Clear Mount Stamp Case Insert – DOWNLOAD IT HERE”. It’s right under the picture of the card.

  9. Nannette says:

I would love to use this template, but I want to add images to the front of the case of the stamp sets I found on Google. I can’t work with a .pdf file. Do you have a .jpeg? TY so much.

  10. Judy Grounds says:

I love all that you taught us. However, when I write in the name of the stamp it goes to the spine but when I print it is not there? Thanks in advance.
    Judy

    • Connie says:

Judy, I wish I could help. I’m not sure why it’s doing this. This file was created by Stampin’ Up so it’s not something I personally created and can fix. So sorry! I wish I knew how to make it work.
