    Hey Connie!

This card is Ahh-MAZING! It is totally CAS but it is classy and elegant too…Oh my GOSH! That is SO hard to do! I am totally going to scrap lift this bad boy! If you change colors…it can totally have a romantic/Victorian feel…and if you change colors again…it can look country/picnic feel to it!!! Oh my gosh! the possibilities are endless!

BTW…I have 2 tips for you that will totally rock your world! Or at least your die cutting world.

#1 If you layer clear packing tape over the cut side of an intricate die then run it through your Big Shot, are you with me so far? You can remove the excess tape and the the clear packing tape is “stuck” inside your die (shiny, non-sticky side facing up) You will now not need to use wax paper. The clear tape will allow your paper to release easily. (Can you hear the Angels sing?)

#2 Once your paper it die cut, either gently fold the die image (WITHOUT creasing the paper) back and forward and change directions and do it again. Most if not all of your “innies” will just fall of! No poking needed.

OR your can get a clean/new soft bristle toothbrush, the kind that has a rough surface w/ mountain and valley bristles. If your gently run your toothbrush across the die cut while hold it up and the bristles will pop the innies out for you as well.

    Hope that helps,

Have you tried this Valerie? The reason I ask is that I once tried the packing tape thing with the other doily die we used to have and I totally ruined it. Had to throw it away. I am leery of putting packing tape on anything after that disaster.

I do like the idea of gently bending the die to get it to release. I am going to give that a try!

Hello Connie: I didn’t have a chance yesterday to come here and send my comments to you. This card is so, so beautiful and very fast to create, I always use wax paper for dies that have lots of little pieces and it works great, if there are any stubborn pieces still in the die, I grab a strip of regular scotch tape and gently tap it with it and the pieces come off real nicely.
The gold and silver inks take a while to dry but, if I’m in a hurry, I just use my heat gun to hurry up the drying time.
Thank you for a fabulous video and this beautiful and very classy card.

Love this card and will make for an upcoming wedding. Also, THANKS SO MUCH for the hint on using the copy paper to help the ink dry. It seems like in my area I can never get it to dry. Now I will go back and try this ink again.

I live in Oklahoma and we have high humidity too. I will say that the Encore ink dries pretty quick though!
