Last week on the Stampin’ Gals Gone Wild Facebook group, I started my Weekend Challenges and I have to tell you….I was completely BLOWN AWAY by the response! We had about 50 different cards shared using the Weekend Challenge sketch. Unbelievable! I was so excited but even more so, I was so INSPIRED!
Each Friday I share a new sketch or color combination with you. Check out the challenge, grab your stamps, ink and paper and use the idea as a base for your project!
Here’s your Sketch Challenge for January 23, 2015!
This week’s challenge is another simple and clean sketch. This is just a base for you to start with so have some fun with it! This challenge is to help jump-start your creativity… not put you in a creative box.
- The circle can be a heart, a flower, a sentiment, whatever!
- That square can be embossed, stamped, cardstock, designer paper, whatever!
- Add a sentiment or leave it blank!
- Add additional layers or keep it clean and simple. It’s up to you!
Your card may not end up looking anything like the sketch and that’s okay. Sometimes when we go to create, we get new ideas. That’s the concept behind the Stampin’ Gals Gone Wild Weekend Challenge – to get your creative juices flowing!
Be sure to share your creations on our Stampin’ Gals Gone Wild Facebook group! CLICK HERE to join the Facebook group.
So, your challenge is…..over the weekend create something with the sketch, share your creations on the Facebook group, and enjoy some great feedback from other Wild Girls. We have over 500 members and LOTS of inspiration to share.
Here are a couple of cards I created using the challenge.
For this card, I flipped it around. See? You can do just about anything with the challenges! Upways, sideways, wonk-ways, it doesn’t matter. 🙂
I am really excited about this weekend’s challenge and I can’t wait to see what you post on the Facebook group!
So, Mr. Awesome seems to think I need some time away from the house so he is whisking me away for a weekend getaway – a quiet cabin in the woods. No internet, no phone, no distractions… but no stamps. Sounds so nice (except for the no stamps part). But seriously, I’m really looking forward to some time away. If you email me or leave a comment, I will get back to you on Monday!
