Wow! What a whirlwind the last week has been! The Stampin’ Up 25th Anniversary Convention was amazing! Close to 6,000 demonstrators from all over the world gathered in Salt Lake City for 3 days of sharing, inspiration, and fun! Stampin’ Up demonstrators sure know how to have fun!  I thought I would share some of my favorite moments.

Friendships – one of my MOST MOST MOST favorite thing about attending Convention are the new friendships that begin. I had the pleasure of meeting SO many of you who follow my blog. You all were so sweet and I was honored to have met you. I’m serious when I say that was overwhelmed by your sweet compliments. Wow! Thank you for making me feel so special!

Creativity – what a great word! It’s a happy word! When I hear a new idea or see a stamp used in a creative way, I can’t help but be excited! The Salt Palace was oozing with creativity! My head is just buzzing with new ideas!  This is just one of MANY boards that I soaked up all the creative mojo shared by my fellow demonstrators.  These boards alone are worth going to Convention for.. no, seriously, they are!

Prizes – I’ve never seen so many prizes given away! It was SO much fun! I actually had to have my stuff shipped home!  I don’t mind because I love winning prizes!  This is my new friend Nancy who was visiting her sister from Hawaii JUST for Convention.  We were pretty sure we weren’t going to win anything until the VERY end.  We were both pretty excited!

Awards – I had so much fun on Awards Night because I got to see so many of my Stampin’ sisters walk across the stage for different milestones for this past year. My favorite was hearing Josee’s name being called for the Top 20 Demonstrator of the Year for Canada. She burst into tears. It was a sweet moment. When they began the names for the Top 100 in the USA the butterflies started. My name was called (eek!!) and I screamed, hugged my best friend sitting next to me, and burst into tears. Why is it at times of such joy we suddenly have to pee? Could some explain that to me?   What a FABULOUS night it was! Stampin’ Up threw us the biggest party afterwards. An 80’s band, cupcakes galore, more prizes, and hugs from friends.

WEDO Week – My week continued after everyone headed home from Convention.  I have great friends who live near Salt Lake City and they drive up for WEDO week.  What is WEDO?  It’s a week where WE DO what we want, when we want and we don’t have to cave to what husbands or kids want.  It is SO much fun to hang out with these ladies.  I encourage everyone to start their own WEDO weekend.  Just get a few girlfriends together, get a hotel, and shop, eat, and stay up late!  It’s the BEST!

WEDO week!

As you can see, it was a very busy week but OH WHAT FUN!!!  Now you see why it took me so long to recover and get back to stamping!

The good news is that I have been busy busy busy creating in my studio and I am SO excited about my project for Stampin’ Gals Gone Wild Online Club!!  My theme is “Inspiration is Everywhere” because … well, my projects were inspired by things I saw!  I would see a scratch paper holder and BOOM, I figured out how to make my own from Designer Series Paper.  In a little gift shop I saw a super sweet flower vase and BOOM, that became a beautiful gift for my sister.  A card that I received at Convention was just the inspiration I needed for my final project.
