The Flower Shop Bundle won’t get the best of me!

I LOVE the new Flower Shop stamp set and matching Pansy punch from the new catalog.  I mean I REALLY love it!!!

Flower Shop bundle

Well, I did until I couldn’t get the darn punch to line up with my stamped image. Thank heavens I figured out this simple template to mark my stamps so that the stamped image and punch will line up perfect every time!

Check out today’s video for my secret tip!

Once you’ve made the template, go ahead and mark all 6 stamps in the set. Don’t forget about marking the pansy in the Morning Meadow hostess set too! It will make stamping and punching SO much easier!

I hope you enjoyed today’s video!

You know you NEED this stamp set and matching punch.  NEED it, I tell ya!  It’s a wonderful stamp set!!   To order your very own, click HERE

I had done the same thing with Secret Garden stamp set. I marked the stamp and the framelit with a marker. Makes life so much easier! Thanks for sharing your wonderful tips!

  5. I figured this tip out Connie after stamping a boat-load of them and then realizing that they weren’t living up…….VERY FRUSTRATING. This tip is a real time saver and a MUST DO for this set. Thanks for sharing your amazing template technique with us Connie. (PS….LOVE your blog and all the amazing work you put into it…THANK YOU!)

Hi Connie, I did something similar…after punching out several for convention swaps that just didn’t look that great….your tip, however, is much better, and I will definitely do this to my other stamps…..Thank you soooooo much for every tip, video, and card/project you share with us…I love, love, love your blog…..and look forward to it everyday!!!!!!! Blessings…

Thank you for this awesome tip! I attended a summer stampin event this past Saturday and first encountered the stamp and punch combo and had a bit of a time punching the pansy out – this tip fixes that! TFS !!! I will pass this tip on to my upline.

Thank you SO much. They really were not that easy to line up so I am glad you explained so well about really checking to be sure all the indentations were exactly in place. Great tip. You are so kind to share with everyone! You should be elevated to a premiere status at Stampin Up if you are not already!!

  13. Mary McIver says:

Thanks Connie! You are an amazing stamper and I have learned so much from you. I don’t have this set yet but a friend does. We were trying to use it and get the stamps to line up…of course they didn’t…so frustrating. Now we know the secret and we will be eternally grateful! I’ll order at my next card club, for sure?

  14. Tania says:

Great tip and I do love the recent card you posted using this set.

I would get this set/bundle in a heartbeat were it not for the flower with the text-y print (middle, left) and the flower with the multiple prints (top right). I just can’t picture what those are like stamped. I tend to prefer my flowers to be more traditional looking. So I am on the fence.

    • Connie says:

Tania, check out the sample flowers on page 95 though. That multiple print flower is SO pretty in Melon Mambo! I must say, looking at it in gray it isn’t pretty at all but stamp, I love it!! The alphabet one…. well, that is a trend. Not my personal favorite either but it sure is a hot trend. Maybe it will be the flower stamp you use for a teacher? 🙂

  15. Holly says:

My poor stamp set is so marked up. I followed 3 other people and not a one of then worked. I was going to order a new punch, just figuring there was something wrong with mine. Using your way, wow it works great every time. Thank you so much for this tip..

    • Connie says:

Holly, confession time….I did the same thing and I had the mark in the wrong place on several of mine before I figured it all out. I just gently trimmed it away and marked the correct spot. It’s not just you. 🙂 Glad to know that this trick worked though.

You know, I just had a thought (scary because I haven’t had but 2 sips of coffee. Thoughts usually don’t happen until later in the day!). Now that I have my set marked, I can see that the little lines are all over to the left hand side of my stamps when they are in the case. If you marked it BEFORE you mounted it, you wouldn’t even have to do any of this. Hmmm, anyone out there have a brand new set? Maybe try this with the template and mark your stamps before you even take them out of the rubber and see if it works.
