What? No post today?

In the KitchenHey my wonderful stamping friends!  Just wanted to pop in for a quick minute to fill you in on a few things.  Yes, sadly, no project for you today.  BOO!  I know, I know… but I have some really good reasons for that!

It’s been an exciting few days around here.  Mr. Awesome is leaving his job of 14 years to take a new position at a new company.  He is REALLY excited about this new opportunity!  When he’s not building me a fabulous stamp room, he is an Electrical Engineer.  He has really enjoyed his job at Tinker Air Force Base but also missed doing the actual design work that engineers do.  Well, you don’t leave a job of 14 years without a BIG send off!

Yesterday the company had a very nice going-away luncheon in his honor.  It was very sweet and his co-workers showered him with loads of compliments and well wishes.  Today, I had to get out of the stamp room and into the kitchen.  YUCK!!!  I am not a cook by any means BUT I am working hard to put together an after hours going away party for Rich.  I have been making every finger food imaginable and then some!

Now, I don’t want you to think I haven’t been working hard for you guys.  Actually, I spent this past week finalizing the videos and tutorials for your MAY STAMPIN’ GALS GONE WILD!  The family and I will be leaving on the Stampin’ Up incentive cruise soon and I knew I needed to get ahead of the game.  I have got the most amazing projects for you in May.  Oh my gosh!  SO cute!!!  My theme is “PICTURE THIS” and the three projects are just amazing… if I do say so myself… and I just did.  🙂

And if you’re still reading, just a little head’s up about May in general.  Between the cruise, Christina’s graduation, graduation parties, etc. if you’re not seeing as many videos, don’t worry….I’m not deserting you.  If any of you have ever had a child graduate from high school, you know how INSANE the month of May can be.  I plan to post as often as I can but I felt you deserved to have a little advance warning.

And if you’re STILL reading… can I just say THANK YOU for your support of Simply Simple Stamping?  You guys are AWESOME and your comments that you leave just warm the cockles of my heart!  I truly appreciate you all!  Thank you for being a part of my life!

Have a wonderful weekend!!!!

Connie, I remember how hectic April and May of 2003 were . . . my mother-in-law passed away, we had already scheduled a bridal shower in our home for our oldest daughter, our son returned from 11 years of life in California, our youngest daughter graduated from college our oldest daughter got married and then . . . we went to Disney World with my mom!

In between there was a funeral (in Hawaii), packing, repacking, packing up dorms, finishing sewing the 5 bridesmaids gowns, ferrying people back and forth to several airports and driving from Virginia to South Carolina and then Florida and back to Virginia.

I don’t know how we buzzed through those 2 months, but somehow we not only got through it, we enjoyed it. Hope you can do the same with this special family time. Your stamps will wait, your family will not.

Ke aloha Pumahana (may God bless you).

Do you know, I love being a part of your life. Brings back memories as my grandkids are graduating from college now and the “beat goes on” believe me! You’ve only just begun, girl! And it is all fun and an adventure. So, keep writing and designing as there are many of who greatly enjoy your “diary”. Congrats to your hubby and Christina.

  16. Molly says:

Aw Connie, so glad life is happy-busy for you and not just stress-busy. I’ve been MIA from stamping since returning to work after my 1st shoulder surgery. Yup, a 2nd one coming up in a week or so. Yikes… I did too much stamping and card making during the holidays and got burned out. You have an awesome May, come back all fired-up and I’ll get re-fired up with you when you do!

  17. Christine Miner says:

I understand how important your family/life is and

I really I am happy for you but STILL I go thru Connie withdrawal when I see nothing new…Just sayin’

  18. Phoebe says:

  19. Patti says:

Connie, I had two boys graduate from high school so I understand exactly where you are coming from. Enjoy your time with your family. I know your followers and friends will be sitting back here rooting for you. It is really great to know that you have such a warm and supporting family in all you do. I really love your videos and will miss them. But knowing you are having a great time, living your life and enjoying your family, makes me understand that something has to give. Family comes first before anything. When it is all said and done, your family is what you have left. I am sending you my love and best wishes for an enjoyable graduation for your daughter and for your husband’s new employment opportunity. But most of all, I am sending you my friendship. I feel like we are truly friends, even though we have never met. So in order for me to not go through Flash Card Withdrawal, I will go to my Flash Card spot in my e-mail and revisit some of my favorites. Thank you for such inspiration for me and thank you for all you do to show us some great ways to use Stampin’ Up products!!!
