WHAT WOULD CONNIE DO? Pretty Little Nail File – Video Tutorial

Happy Monday my sweet peeps!  Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and Valentine’s Day!

Today has been an interesting day in the Stewart house.  Late last night a huge ice storm hit and today the city streets resemble a skating rink….and that means no school.  Man, that puts a damper on my routine but I have learned to roll with the punches.

So, now that things have settled down, let’s get to sharing!  I had a question over on the Stampin’ Gals Gone Wild Facebook group….
What Would Connie Do? Ask your questions at www.SimplySimpleStamping.com Angelina from New Mexico asked,  “I’m doing a Bridal Expo, does anyone have any ideas on something I could give to each attending person that wouldn’t be too costly or time consuming? There are about 200 people expected.”

Dear Angelina,

Having fun give-aways at an Expo or Craft Fair can be a great way to get your contact info in the hands of potential customers or clients.  The give-aways need to be fast, inexpensive but carry some WOW factor.  Since it was for a Bridal Expo, my first thought was a great little nail file holder.
Simply Simple PRETTY LITTLE NAIL FILE by Connie Stewart - see the video tutorial at www.SimplySimpleStamping.com - February 16, 2015I made these nail files in a stamp class many many moons ago but they were a huge hit!  Sometimes it’s just fun to bring back an oldie but goodie.

These nail files are great for more than just give-aways though!  Perfect for a friend, girl’s night out, spa themed party, etc.

I have always loved having a nice cover for my nail file.  How frustrating is it to discover a HUGE scratch on your sunglasses or cell phone from a random nail file in your purse?Simply Simple PRETTY LITTLE NAIL FILE by Connie Stewart - see the video tutorial at www.SimplySimpleStamping.com - February 16, 2015You can get nail files dirt cheap at the dollar stores or at beauty supply stores and you can make (8) covers with just (1) sheet of Designer Series Paper and (1) sheet of cardstock.  How’s that for affordable?

Angelina, you will want to put your contact info on the back.  I hope that you like the idea and that it’s helpful.

They go together really quick.  Check out the video to learn how to make them!

Adorable project, and what a great give-away. I think I will make some up to hand out at craft sales, with my name stamped on the back, of course.

Finally I did recreate this cute nail file pocket gift…. I used the blackberry bliss coloured painted petals DSP on whisteria wonder card stock and did not put a sentiment on the front (as the DSP is soooo pretty and I did not want to cover it up), but stamped it on the back of the pocket… Super cute, too… 😉 Connie, I love your ideas and your videos. Thank you so much for sharing your creativity and joy with us :o))
