Workin’ on the Weekend

Hope everyone had a great weekend!  Mine was…. well, interesting.  Mother Nature was PMSing again and dumped a whole lotta ice on Oklahoma City.  Why does she do this?  WHY?!  The kids are out of school and we were pretty much stuck in the house all day.   Today looks like it will be the same. The good part about being iced in over the weekend was that I had some time to work in my stamp studio!

I have been meaning to make pretty labels for all my storage boxes and I am quite pleased with how they turned out.

I wanted to add a touch of Daffodil Delight to my stamp space and just a simple Petite Petals flower punch added that little extra touch I wanted.  Oh, and a little Rhinestone in the center.  Gotta have my bling!   Having all my boxes labeled and pretty sure makes the room look nice!

I know a lot of you have been asking about my video tour of my stamp room.  Well, Mr. Awesome is taking the week off to finish the room.  YAY!  We’ve been so busy with the play and whatnot we haven’t had a chance to finish off all the little things.  We hope to have it done by next week and then the video tour can commence.

So, after I was done with my pretty labels, I took on another project.  I had a roll of postage stamps just sitting on my desk, unrolling everywhere, and I decided to make a little postage stamp box to keep it together.  Nothing super fancy but cute none the less.

Yep!  That is what I did with my “stuck indoors all weekend” weekend.  I have an EXCITING week ahead of me though.  My very best friend is flying in tomorrow to spend a week with me.  I am OVER THE MOON about spending a week with Brenda.  She is the one who introduced me to Stampin’ Up oh so long ago.  She and I will spend a lot of time drinking too much coffee and stamping together.  I will post our creations throughout the week.

I hope that you guys have a great week as well!  Before I go, I am excited to share with you a SNEAK PEEK of Stampin’ Gals Gone Wild for March.  (6) FREE videos and tutorials with any $20 purchase.  Use Hostess Code U34TUR27 and the videos and tutorials are yours!  (NOTE:  If your order is over $150, don’t use the hostess code and enjoy FREE Stampin’ Rewards PLUS the March videos and tutorials!)

I have found a way to create the Pop Up Card in a Box EASY plus the Dangling Daffodil card (the surprise is on the inside) and a simple way to watercolor.  Josee has some great videos too!  She had some fun with Spring cards as well!  I can’t wait to check out her videos and get to creating!

Connie, how did you make your little stamp roll box?

    • Connie says:

Debra, it’s actually a very easy box to make. I will work on a video for it and post it later this week.

I’m positively drooling over your very organized, uniform and yet somehow still whimsical storage boxes. I’m sure you’re going to have the greatest week, come rain, shine or sleet, as you’ve got your best friend and Mr. Awesome spending all week in your stamp room. Hope you share pictures!

By the way, how many projects do you feature in your Stampin Gals Gone Wild in a month? Can I still purchase a copy of the videos outright? I’ve been trying to find a way to purchase the products as the friend of a friend of a friend option is a no go for now, and ordering thru the world site triples the listed price due to the overseas tax and postage both being equivalent to the item price (an inkpad will come out $23.94 each!) but it’s just not practical for now.

Hi Phoebe! We have 6 exclusive videos each month and YES, you can just order the videos/tutorials. There is a link at the top menu bar called Stampin’ Gals Gone Wild. It will take you to a Paypal link where you can subscribe or order monthly. 🙂 I hope you check it out! This month I am featuring the easy method of the Pop-Cup Card in a box, a dangling daffodil card (so cute!) and a faux watercolor card. Josee has some fabulous spring cards too!

    • Connie says:
