This morning I have a follow-up doctor’s appointment and I am HOPING and PRAYING that I can finally get back to stamping. Right now, my arm continues to be stuck in a giant sling and I would like nothing more than to be released from it. Movement is still extremely painful and I am sure more therapy will be needed but I sure am hoping for some good news today. Prayers appreciated!

I love these interesting and easy ideas to make our Happy Mail even better with beautiful envelopes. Great video. Thanks, Connie. Enjoy your day!
Thanks Hilda! So glad you liked it!
Beautiful! Do you match the envelope to the card or just decorate randomly ?
I look forward to all of your posts.
I do try to match the envelope to the card, yes.
They look nice, sorry don’t mean to be so negative…..
proper addressing etiquette is to put the town, state, zip
all on the same line!! So some will work great………….
enjoy your postings.
Really? Hmmm, I had no idea it made a difference.
These envelopes are beautiful. But, what happens if they get wet? Won’t the ink smear?
Sadly, yes. It’s a risk.
There is a glaze you can sponge on top of your work that will waterproof it. Since this is a Stampin Up site I hesitate to mention the brand. A light smear even with your fingers works on all die inks,
I always decorate the lower right corner of my envelopes but you have shared some awesome new ideas you are so awesome.
Thank you for these ideas! I LOVE them! I usually stamp on a lower corner of my envelopes but you’ve taken it to a whole new level! I can’t wait to do this for the next card I send. I love your videos as well. So many great ideas. Keep ’em coming! ?
Thanks Nancy!
I agree. I used to shop for matching envelopes when I purchased stationary but now that I’m making cards I put a stamp here and there but these ideas are wonderful and I will use them immediately. I’m randomly sending cards to brighten the day of family and friends during these COVID times and getting a pretty envelope starts the smiles even before they open the card. Thx for sharing ❣️
Hi Connie – great ideas – a word of caution…I was told by our post office several years ago not to put any “decorations” (ink, paper etc) along the bottom from about the middle to the right corner – that is where the sorting machine scans & runs the coding strip – if there is anything blocking it then it will be rejected – I had a card come back because of I had stamped all along the bottom edge – I have always stamped something in the bottom left corner or along the left edge & even on the flap – I like to emboss the flap.
I should add, it is okay to decorate the bottom edge if you are hand-delivering or if you are mailing in another larger envelope for added protection
True!
Good to know, thanks!
I had the same thought. I always keep my decorations to the left side and/or on the flap. Also, gluing on the bottom where the coding strip will be, the strip can get caught in the machine.
Connie, these are beautiful examples! Thanks so much for sharing!
Thanks Mellanie! I’m glad you enjoyed these!
Hi Connie! I have been decorating my envelopes for the cards I make for about 15 years… and I also have carried mail for 33 years so my tips for card makers is remember your postage goes in right hand corner so don’t stamp there… also if you put the extra ounce stamp on handmade cards and take to the counter at the post office ask them to put it with non machinable letters and it will get hand cancelled and will preserve your card and envelopes much better
Thanks Frances!
Connie, I love the idea you showed on your video today about stamping the envelopes. It really made such a wonderful difference. When you put a stamped one next to a plain one it looks naked lol. The combinations and different stamps could make many different ones I see why you couldn’t stop today. Thank you.
Thanks Linda! I’m so glad you enjoyed this!
I absolutely love embellishing cards and envelopes (I hate naked envelopes as well ;)) Thank you for sharing your video!! Love the idea of using the clear stamps…so quick and easy and yet very attractive and colorful.
I’m so thrilled that you enjoyed these ideas Betty!
