Love this tip! How do you clean the brush?
Carol, it’s super simple. Just brush it back and forth on a paper towel. It typically only take 3-4 swipes to be clean. 🙂
Thanks Connie, Great tip, so easy too!
Thanks so much Jan!
Hi, Connie, Another GREAT idea! Think I will try it on the whole piece of cardstock before cutting out the words. Not sure I could hold the cutout in one place so easily. Thanks again for your generosity and sharing of ideas!
Love this card, Connie, with the ombre colors. I have the die and aqua painters, so I’m set to go try this. I just need to fill one with alcohol. Thanks so much for this great tip! Enjoy your day!
So glad you were inspired!
Is there a reason you didn’t ‘ombre’ the cardstock first and then cut out? Love the card!
You know, I tried that first but I found that I still had to go back over spots after I cut it so this just worked better to do it directly on the die cut. You can ombre the cardstock first though. This was just my personal preference.
You could even just paint the paper, dry, and then run it through the Big Shot. The paper would already be ombre so you can pick the portion you like the best.
Yes, you can do that but I found I still had to go back over the die cut afterwards. It was just easier for me to ombre it already cut so I could see where I wanted more color and less color.
Love the Aqua Painter and alcohol you showed us…..but today I want to thank you for a past Two Min Tues…..the one on gluing down detailed dies…..I went back in your tutorials and found the one I read several months ago and it saved me . I am doing those cute little snowflakes and have them all cut out (without the adhesive sheet) and tried to remember what you had told us. Well, I found it and it is such a great tip !!! Many many thanks.
I have always loved that tip. It’s a favorite of mine too. 🙂
Does the alcohol affect the ink pad?
I wipe the ink/alcohol off the ink pad before I put it away.
Love this tip! It works great. Do you empty the alcohol out of the aqua painter after each use?
No, I don’t, but I do store the Aqua Painters brush side up.
Great tip Connie! Thanks & have a great rest of the week.
Love this idea, so simple. Thanks for all your videos and sharing, love, love them.
Thanks, Connie for one more simple tip! Love the ombré look
Me too and this was so easy to do too.
