What a whirlwind the past few days have been! Mr. Awesome and I had a fabulous camping trip over the weekend. It was hot but that’s what the A/C is for. The campground was fairly quiet and lots of deer roaming around. I love that! We just enjoyed the quiet, I did some stamping while Mr. Awesome caught up on some reading. That’s my idea of a weekend and that’s what I love about camping. There’s no guilt for not cleaning or mowing.
I had some time yesterday morning and I tried to fix a problem I’ve had with my blog for about a year now…. many of you may know what I’m talking about. You log into SimplySimpleStamping.com and my blog goes directly to August 19, 2014. I have tried everything under the sun to fix it but no luck. Well, a moderator from WordPress gave me a suggestion and it was a disaster. MAJOR disaster! I honestly thought I had just deleted all my subscribers. I was in tears. I did a backup before I started but for some reason I couldn’t get that part back. Mr. Awesome to the rescue! He actually took the day off to come home and help me fix it. YAY! He was able to get everything back to where it should be AND he fixed that pesky issue with you getting lead to August 19th when you log in. He truly is Mr. Awesome in every sense of the word. You have no idea how grateful I am to be here posting to everyone. I thought I was doomed.
My day got brighter because my girls got home safe and sound from New York City last night so we looked at all the pictures and heard all the stories. They had a GREAT time. The highlights for Ginny were singing in Carnegie Hall, meeting some of the cast members of “Aladdin” and Central Park. Yes, Central Park was in her Top 3 things. But the BIGGIE was that she was chosen to attend a Broadway Master Class with one of the leads from “Pippin”. She got to sing for her (in front of 200 students) and then was critiqued and they worked her song over and over. Ginny got a standing ovation from the other students. WAHOO! That’s a big deal. I am so proud of her and she and Christina had the time of their lives. Lots of fun stories.
Well, I am going to close with that and get some stamping done today! Before I head to my stamp room (and clean it up a bit) let me share the WEEKLY DEALS FOR JUNE 30 – JULY 6, 2015
Best tip ever!!! I thought something was wrong with my stamps!
Connie, this is a super tip! I noticed the new In Colors are really juicy and this tip will help greatly. Thank you for all your wonderful designs, tips and ideas!
What angriest tip! Thanks 🙂 I would do this on some whisper white card stock to make some cool backgrounds 🙂 Never being one to waste such good products.
That would be “what a great tip”.
I, too, have had problems with the too juicy ink pads. Thank you so much for the tip. I can’t wait to try it.
Connie, you are absolutely the BEST. I had a very big problem with these magical bubbles and was wondering how to get rid of them. I had even left one of my stamp pads open all night hoping it would dry out – NOT! Your video came at the perfect time. Now I know why we say “What would Connie do?”
Thanks so much for this tip. I thought there was something wrong with my ink pads.
Great tip Connie, I was wondering how to get rid of those pesky little bubbles, I love a juicy ink pad for getting nice and crisp lines but for solid stamps, this is a problem.
Thank you for sharing.
I was so frustrated at my brand new ink pad. My lovely evening of stamping was disappearing before my eyes. Thanks so much for the great tip! Now back to my Christmas cards 🙂
