Great video on ink pads! Very helpful. What hints do you have for loosening up the tracks when they are stiff? Thanks!

Good tip about opening pads. I never CAN open so I never buy. Hands just can’t handle.
Love the top on opening the ink pads! Going to share it. Thanks to you and hubby!
Hi Connie – Thanks for all the great info in your video. I had an issue yesterday as I was stamping that was not addressed. I was using a pool party ink spot that needed to be reinked. I reinked and all was well. When I went back to my project later and tried to ink a stamp, I got a lot of bubbles on the surface of the pad and on the stamp. And of course when stamping it, the image was splotchy. I thought I got too much ink on the spot, so I pressed it down on paper to release extra ink. This did not solve the problem. I checked a few other spots I have. Some had bubbles and some had none. I also have the bubble problem in the summer months with certain colors of my full size ink pads, whether a linen or a foam pad, whether newly inked or not. I attributed it to the hot, humid conditions (no air conditioning), but yesterday was not a hot, humid day. Did you ever have any issues with bubbles?
Sally, I sent you an email with some details.
THANK YOU for suggestion on how to open the pads! Though one flew out of my hand and landed upside down on the floor (missed the carpet – whew). Really wasn’t happy with the new design, but maybe now I can actually open them.
Hi Connie,
I was re-watching one of your videos from August 2019, where you use the subtle embossing folder. I hope you can help me answer your question, since it is a 3-D embossing folder is there a special sandwich to be used with a big shot/vagabond. I googled this and got multiple answers. The most common was just use the regular platform with the embossing folder and one cutting plate on top. Is that what you do? I saw on a stamping up video that they recommended a specialty cutting plate, do I really need that? I really do not want to jam my vagabond or even worse break it, since I have shoulder problems and must use an electric machine.
Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question. I really appreciate it. I love your blog and check it every day for inspiration and love your tips they are so useful.
Thank you again,
Caroline

Wonderful!!!
Hi Connie I just watched your video on the ink pad tips but could you show how not to end up with the ink on the surrounding edge of the stamp? I try not to stamp to heavy but that leaves the image to light!! Help?!
I always say to ink up a stamp like you are kissing a bunny. A light tap tap tap. It sounds like your tapping too hard on the ink pad and hitting the edges. I do it too sometimes so just remember to kiss the bunny.
