I’ve got a mind-blowing tip to extend a card! Are you ready for this?

Some Tuesday Tips are just mind-blowing. Today’s tip video falls in that category. Why? Well, I think we have all been in a position where we needed a BIG card with LOTS of space for everyone to sign their name and a little message. That’s not easy within a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” area. Today I am going to show you several ways you can EXTEND an A2 card to allow plenty of room for others to sign. I think you’re going to like this.

Are you ready to learn how to extend a card? Let’s get started on the video!

Let me share the cards so you can get a better idea of what they look like. I know you have seen the first 2 cards before (if you missed them, CLICK HERE to watch the video) but as I shared in the video, sometimes you just need to add a little extra to a card you’ve already made.

I went from this….

…to THIS! Isn’t that cool????

I just added an extension to the inside of a card I had made previously. Pretty nifty, eh?

  • Very Vanilla Thick – 4 ¼” x 11″, scored at 5 ½”
  • Very Vanilla – 4″ x 10 ½”, scored at 5 ¼” plus scrap for sentiment
  • Copper Foil – ¼” x 5 ½” and scrap for sentiment
  • Copper Trim – small bow

Here are the supplies you need to create it. Click a pic to order anything you might need.

You can also go in another direction too. Why not go sideways instead?

  • Whisper White Thick – 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”
  • Whisper White – 5 ¼” x 8″, scored at 4″ plus scrap for sentiment
  • Silver Foil – ¼” x 5 ½” and scrap for sentiment
  • Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon – small knot

If you’ve got a BIG group of people who need to sign a card, double up! Look at all that space!

  • Melon Mambo – 4 ¼” x 11″, scored at 5 ½”
  • Whisper White – (2) 5 ¼” x 8″, scored at 4″
            • 3 ¾” x 5″
            • Scraps for (2) daisy punches
  • Shaded Spruce – 3 ⅞” x 5 ⅛” (punch sprigs before layering)

Here are the supplies I used on this sweet Daisy Wreath card. So simple, right?!

There are so many ways you can extend your cards. You won’t have to worry about having enough space anymore!

  • Night of Navy – 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 4 ¼”
  • Whisper White – (2) 5 ¼” x 8″, scored at 4″ and 3 ¼” x 4 ¼”
  • Balmy Blue – 3 ½” x 4 ½”

And last but not least, here is the supply list for this sweet card. I love how it turned out!

What a GREAT weekend we had!!! Each year, Mr. Awesome hosts an “End of Fiscal Year” party for his co-workers and he realty outdid himself this year. He smoked meats for street taco and let me tell you what… this man of mine knows how to smoke meat! It was SO good! We had about 15-20 people come and go for the party. It was nice, there were new faces this year, so I got to put faces to names I have been hearing about for awhile.

Saturday was a big work day but Ginny was here to help out.

Sunday, Rich, Christina, her boyfriend Matt, and myself all headed to Tulsa to see my favorite musical of all time, “Les Miserable”. I have now seen this show 6 times and this was the BEST production I have ever seen. I had no make-up on by the end of the show (yep, I’m a crier). It’s just such a beautiful story of love, forgiveness, and grace. The music just hits me in my soul and I can’t help but sob. OH! It was just so good!!!! We found a new restaurant to try – an Irish pub. You know, I don’t know if I have ever had much Irish food but I now know what bangers are (Irish sausage) and Boxty (a potato pancake). A perfect way to end the weekend.

I hope you found the tip today to be a life saver. It was for me! I needed a card for many of us to sign and when the lightbulb went off, I was blown away and I hope you were too.

Make it a GREAT Tuesday everyone! I can’t wait to stamp with you on Thursday! See ya then my Stampin’ peeps!
