So, a quick update. I told you that Christina’s high school drama students made it to State competition. They didn’t place in the top 3 but that’s okay. They were up against 9 of the best schools in the state. These kids CAN say they are a part of the Top 9 drama departments in the state though (like my positive spin on it??)

They had a BLAST at competition, made new friends, saw some great shows, and the best part, they got out of school for the whole day.

Did I tell you that both Christina and Ginny were both cast in a new show? It’s called “The Marvelous Wonderettes” and it’s set in 1958 – Springfield High Senior Prom. The cast is only 4 girls and the music is…. well, marvelous! I love the music from the 50’s! They sing songs like “Stupid Cupid”, “Mr. Sandman”, “All I Have to Do Is Dream”, “Lipstick on your Collar”, “Lollypop”. You name it, they probably sing it in this show. The tight harmonies of the girl groups of the 50’s and 60’s were amazing. I am so looking forward to seeing this show in January!

I mentioned on Saturday that Mr. Awesome and I went camping this past weekend. Well, the weather had a different idea. BOO! It POURED down rain so it was a no-go. We looked at the weather and said, “No problem, we can just go next weekend”…. until we saw the low temperatures for next week. We will be dipping down into the 20’s and 30’s. Sadly, that means the camper had to be winterized this weekend to keep the pipes from freezing next week. So, with that, we spent a couple hours on Saturday pulling all the food out of the camper, giving it a good scrub, and filling the pipes with antifreeze. My friends, it is the saddest day of the year!!! Well, this day and taking down the Christmas tree. I bid good-bye to my little getaway home on wheels…. until Springtime. <sigh>

Is it too early to put up the Christmas tree?????? Okay, okay, I will at least wait until Halloween is over.
