Happy Friday my friends! It’s time for Creative Juice Week #24, I have a layout that is clean and simple. So simple, it’s as easy as tearing a piece of paper. I had some fun with the sketch today and created a super quick Two for One masculine card using the new Mossy Meadow and Merry Merlot from the Neutrals Collection.
Each week I serve up a big glass of CREATIVE JUICE to get your creative juices flowing. Let me share this week’s card inspiration.
- Get creative with your color combinations.
- The torn edge could be a sponged boarder, torn Designer Paper or even crinkled ribbon.
You can print out the sketches each week OR you can save them to your computer. By doing this you will have sketch ideas at your fingertips, whenever you need them. Just click the pic to download or print it. Remember, you can always find them here if you go to the ‘Categories’ (located on the right side bar) and click on Creative Juice.
Here is what I came up with for today’s CREATIVE JUICE sketch…
As I said, today I create a Two for One. I simply tore the Designer Series Paper in half and adhered to the top of one card, the bottom of the other card.
I stamped the sentiments on Very Vanilla cardstock and die cut with the Layering Square Framelits.
The Copper Trim was a nice touch to the card. It still remained very manly.
I filled in around the sentiment with the leaf from Love What You Do but any thin leaf image would work here.
What a great way to get 2 cards created at once and SO FAST!
Here are the measurements for my TWO FOR ONE MASCULINE THANK YOU CARD but remember, these measurements are not set in stone. Get creative with your measurements!
- Mossy Meadow – 8 ½” 11″, score at 5 ½”, cut to 4 ¼”
- Very Vanilla – 3 ¼” x 6″
- Merry Merlot – 3 ¼” x 6″
- Wood Designer Series Paper – 4 ¼” x 6″ (tear in half)

Well, Kristin Chenoweth’s Broadway Bootcamp is still going strong and will go through tomorrow night. Ginny is having the time of her life and is learning SO much. She has come back with pages and pages of notes and ideas.
Tomorrow night is the big concert. Ginny has a solo in a one of the songs (Yay Ginny!!!). The concert will feature the kids along with the faculty of stars. I can’t wait to see it. The night will conclude with the Kristy Awards. Ginny won last year for her work that she did with her Special Friends in Show Choir. I was so tickled that she was asked by the staff how the program went and she was able to share that the 2 musicals were a such a big hit.
We are enjoying out time in Tulsa and Broken Arrow and will head home on Sunday. It’s been such a GREAT WEEK!
I hope that you guys have a wonderful weekend. Enjoy it and I hope to see you all back here on Monday morning for Make It Monday! I have a tutorial that I think you’re going LOVE! See you then!
