It’s Friday and I have a very special CREATIVE JUICE to share with you today! I’m mashing CREATIVE JUICE and FACEBOOK LIVE REWIND together. That means a video to go along with today’s sketch. How does that sound? Let’s get going with Creative Juice Week #5….
Each week I serve up a big glass of CREATIVE JUICE to get your creative juices flowing. I love sharing sketch ideas with you and not just one, but four, sketches. The sketches are the same but laid out differently to help you see the sketch at a different angle. Let me share this week’s card inspiration.
- Get creative with your color combinations.
- That circle could be any shape you want.
- You can create with Designer Paper, embossed or stamped cardstock.
- Why not add ribbon instead of baker’s twine?
You can print out the sketches each week OR you can save them to your computer. By doing this you will have sketch ideas at your fingertips, whenever you need them. Just click the pic to download or print it. Remember, you can always find them here if you go to the ‘Categories’ (located on the right side bar) and click on Creative Juice.
I think you’re really going to like what I created for today’s CREATIVE JUICE…
Check out this really cool circle pop-up card. It is a pretty impressive card. Just think…whoever you send this card to will think you are a paper crafting genius! You’ll know the secret though, how easy this card is to make. 😆
I love the way the circle pops out of the top of the card, don’t you?
This card was created as part of a challenge I did for myself. I wanted to create some Valentine cards NOT using Valentine stamp sets. This card was created with the Layering Love stamp set. Not a Valentine stamp set but this sentiment works beautifully for the big day of Love!
This card will fit perfectly in a medium A-2 envelope too.
And hey! I have a FACEBOOK LIVE REWIND video to go along with my sketch today. Are you ready? Let’s go….
Here are the measurements for my CIRCLE POP-UP CARD:
- Real Red – 11″ x 4 ¼”, score and fold at 2″ and 6 ½”
- Designer Series Paper – 4″ x 4 ¼”
- Whisper White – 4″ x 4 ¼” and (2) 2 ½” x 2 ½”
- Basic Black – 2 ½” x 2 ½”
- Baker’s Twine – 33″

Here in the USA we have a fun little holiday called Groundhog Day. As the legend goes, if Punxsutawney Phil (the official groundhog) sees his shadow, we will see six more weeks of winter and below average temperatures. If this cute little groundhog from Pennsylvania does not see his shadow, then an early spring is on its way with above average temperatures.
Phil climbed out of his burrow at sunrise this morning to see what he can see, or not see. And sadly, he saw his shadow SO we should see 6 more weeks of winter. BOO! I’m not a “winter girl”. I like the sunshine!
But, how accurate is our friend Phil? Not very. Only about 39% of the time. But hey, it’s all in good fun and Phil is too darn cute so why not play along. I guess 6 more weeks of winter means 6 more weeks I want to stay inside and stamp.
And that is all for me today. I am ready for the weekend and some down time with Mr. Awesome. We have no big plans for the weekend and that sounds like my kind of weekend. I hope you enjoy yours as well!
I am so thankful for all of you and for your loyalty to Simply Simple Stamping. I know there are a lot of demonstrators out there to choose from… THANK YOU for choosing me! You are the BEST!!!
