Have you ever wanted to create a card that makes a dramatic impact when opened? Today, I’m excited to share a remarkable expanding gate fold card design that unfolds to an impressive 15 inches! The best part? You’ll only need a single sheet of 8½” x 11″ cardstock to create this eye-catching piece.
The Magic of One Sheet Wonder
What makes this expanding gate fold card unique is that it’s also a One Sheet Wonder project. I’ve created a helpful diagram showing how to transform your standard piece of cardstock into this delightful creation. Whether you use stamped cardstock or patterned Designer Series Paper, the results will wow your recipients.
Need a special card that multiple people can sign? Simply replace the inside panels with blank cardstock, and you’ll have seven spacious panels ready for heartfelt messages and well wishes!
Two Beautiful Variations of the Expanding Gate Fold Card
I’m excited to share two versions of this card:
A thoughtful “Thinking of You” design featuring vibrant florals stamped using the Stampin’ Up!® “With You In Mind” stamp set and an elegant version showcasing the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Sale-A-Bration Bloom Impressions Designer Series Paper.

Hi Connie,
I have a fat 3 ring binder of pictures and instructions of your extraordinary cards and paper crafts. I was sure I had the directions for
the A-2 size card in a box–the one that stands up with a bouquet of flowers or balloons when it comes out of the envelope. I have lost it! Help
