It’s true! The best way to spread CHRISTMAS CHEER is singing loud for all to hear. If you are a fan of the movie “Elf”, you will LOVE today’s project.
I had a very special guest designer sit in with me last night. My daughter, Ginny. Yep, Ginny was in charge of this great Buddy the Elf box and she did a great job sharing how to create it.
Ginny and I had a lot of fun stamping together. I think it’s important to introduce our kids to some form of crafting. Ginny likes to create with paper but we really haven’t done a lot of stamping together so last night was really special to me. I did learn that Ginny and glue don’t get along. lol
For today’s video, Ginny will be teaching you how to create this great Buddy the Elf gift box. Is this not adorable? She did a great job explaining how to create the box. Thank you all for the sweet comments you left for her. It made her day! I’m sure she was a little nervous but you guys made her feel at home.
I promised I would share the rewind of the night so if you weren’t able to attend live, you could still play along. I know you are accustom to my “short and sweet” video style and I aim to please. Because I love you guys, I spent some time editing the video so you can just see the project. If you would rather see the video in its entirety, CLICK HERE to view it on Facebook.
I hope you enjoy the video! Grab yourself a coffee, tea, or soda and check it out!

Thank you for letting Ginny teach your project today. I really wanted to get her involved in the stamping world and I thought she did a pretty good job for her first video. It’s not easy to do and bless her heart, she did it LIVE. Good for her!

Love the Buddy the Elf movie. I have some of those triangle boxes left from the Paper Pumpkin kit awhile back that made that horrid pumpkin pie. I think it was those pom poms that made it horrid – it needed whipped cream topping if you ask me. Anyway, I think I will use a few to make some Buddy boxes to hold treats and probably the Santa one too. Off to watch the video on making them. Thanks for all the inspiration!
I don’t mean to monopolize your blog but had to come back to say Ginny did a great job! I used to hate the green glue but now I love it and have a love/hate issue with the Fast Fuse. Love her terms for various things as well as her enthusiasm for the “Magic of TV” parts. Great job! I still plan to try covering one of the boxes vs. making the box like you and Ginny did. Very cute and they look fun. I have not used the scallop die yet so that will be fun and I think it does remind me of the elf with ears!
Ginny, Honey you are too cute for words! And a great teacher. I do not leave many comments so you know I really loved your project. I will be using this project this Christmas for sure.
Loved Giant’s video. Such confidence & enthusiasm. Great job, refreshing. You can tell she is your daughter. She is just like you. I watch all your videos too. My grandson is here today & loves to craft so I’m going to get him to try to make one of these. TFS
What cute projects! So different looking & the same design! Genius! Great job Ginny! I love your enthusiasm!
Just finished watching your elf box directions. It is so cute and my two granddaughters have the elf, so this is just a great edition for my daughter to use in the hiding of the elf. Ginny you did a fantastic job on your demonstration of how to make that adorable box. I loved your terminology, some of us use that everyday. You seem to be so funny and outgoing. If your mom ever gets sick or just can’t do a video she has you to fall back on. You did a really good job and I’m sure your mom is so proud of you.
