Are you ready for a new Fancy Folds Blog Hop?! Today the Fancy Folds Design Team choose a Bendi fold card (and I added a simple twist). Each month we create and share a fancy fold technique with you AND you get to go on a BLOG HOP to see what my fellow demonstrators from around the world have created. I am working with Stampin’ Up demonstrators from Japan, Australia, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, and Austria!
If you are on the HOP right now, you have just joined me from my new friend Miranda from the Netherlands. She is an amazing stamper and it’s a little intimidating to follow her. Her card was amazing! If you are starting here at Simply Simple Stamping, you will find her card at the end of the hop so make sure you go through them all.
If this is your first time at Simply Simple Stamping, you need to know that I am all about simple. If a card is complicated, I tend to skip it. The Bendi card was a bit of a challenge so I decided to simplify.
I loved incorporating in 2 of our new colors into the card – Soft Sea Foam and Highland Heather. They are really pretty together and they look very nice with Pool Party.
Many of the Bendi fold cards that you have seen have a double bend. I wanted to simplify so I just created one bend but with the Happy Birthday thinlit as the sentiment.
How about a video on how I created today’s card? Let’s go!
Here are my measurements in case you missed them:
- Whisper White Thick – 5 ½” x 8 ½”, score and fold at 4 ¼”
- 1″ x 5 ½”, score at ½” on each end
- 1″ x 3″ (stamp and die cut 3 flowers)
- Highland Heather – 3 ½” x 4″ (die cut Happy Birthday)
- Soft Sea Foam – 2 ½” x 5 ½” (stamp 1 cake and die cut 2)
- Pool Party – 2″ x 3″ (die cut cake stand)
Want to create the HAPPY BIRTHDAY Bendi Card? Here are the Stampin’ Up supplies I used. Use what you have, order what you need! Just click a pic!
Now that you’ve seen the video, it’s time to keep on hoping! HOP on over to my friend Gina from the UK, and check out her version of the Bendi card!

What a fun bendy card!! I’m going to try that. Thank you for making it simple. I’ve shied away from those because it looked too hard and time consuming. Plus…..I received some Connie mail today with a surprise inside. Thank you so much for the gift! You’re the best!

I love these cards, but how do you send them through the mail without squishing them? Thanks, Connie!
Peggy, you can mail this card by sliding the piece out from behind the cake. 🙂
How do you mail this card? Doesn’t it get all smushed in the envelope and at the post office.
Judy, you can mail this card by sliding the piece out from behind the cake. 🙂
