Today I have a really fun card for you – my Cherry Sundae Box Card and a Flamingo Box Card. What I love about this style of card is you can do just about anything with it. My card is part of this this month’s Fancy Folds Design Team Blog Hop! I am working with Stampin’ Up demonstrators from Japan, Australia, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, and Austria! I am beyond honored to be representing the USA in this amazing international experience.
If you are on the HOP right now, you have just joined me from my new friend Astrid from Austria. Wasn’t her project fabulous? If you are starting here at Simply Simple Stamping, you will find her design at the end of the hop so make sure you go through them all.
Let me share my card for the Hop…
I chose a circle as my window but ovals and squares work too.
I thought it would be fun to use my Cool Treats stamp set and matching framelits. After the holidays I have been trying so hard to avoid the sweets but lucky for me, this sundae is sugar-free.
Did you know that today is National Bittersweet Chocolate Day? I knew that I needed to top by sundae with some yummy chocolate syrup.
Notice how this card is 3-Dimensional. It becomes a little piece of art work.
Prepare to have your mind blown! This card FITS in our medium sized envelopes! Yep, it mails flat!
You can also create the card in the vertical or portrait style. I had some fun with the Fabulous Flamingo stamp set.
The measurements for the Portrait/Vertical card are just a little bit different so how about a video on how I created today’s cards? I won’t be going into detail about the designing of the cards but the basics on creating the 2 different Box Cards.
Here are my measurements in case you missed them:
Horizontal/Landscape Card (Sundae Card)
- Whisper White – 4 ¼” x 5 ½” – score and fold at ½”, 1″, 4 ½” and 5″
- Real Red – 4 ¼” x 5 ½” – score and fold at ½”, 1″, 4 ½” and 5″
Vertical/Portrait Card (Flamingo Card)
