Being a member of the Fancy Folds Design Team has been a blast! I am loving creating some unique fun fold cards with these incredible stampers from all over the world. I am working with Stampin’ Up demonstrators from Japan, Australia, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, and Austria! Each month we share a fun and fancy fold technique with you AND you can go on a BLOG HOP to see what my fellow demonstrators have created.
This month, the Fancy Folds Blog Hop is all about the Spinner Card. My first thought when I saw the type of fold we were to design was, “Ugh, this card is going to be hard!” but as I played around with it, I found some ways that I could make it easier. You know me! If I can make it easier, I will! I think you are going to enjoy the Eastern Beauty Spinner Card.
If you are on the HOP right now, you have just joined me from my friend Astrid. Wasn’t her spinner fabulous? If you are starting here at Simply Simple Stamping, you will find her card at the end of the hop so make sure you go through them all.
I’m excited to share my Eastern Beauty Spinner Card so let’s get started…
What you don’t see in the photo is that this card SPINS when the recipient opens the card. It is SO cool! I have a video to share below.
I loved the color combo on this card – Tempting Turquoise, Lemon Lime Twist, and Berry Burst. They just POP off the page and fun colors go well with a fun card.
I used the Layering Circle Framelits for my card. It was the framelits that made this card so easy. You could create this card with the Layering Squares or Ovals too. You can also try the Sweet & Sassy or Stitched Shapes framelits as well.
How about a video on how I created the SPINNER CARD? Let’s go!
Here are my measurements in case you missed them:
- Tempting Turquoise – 8 ½” x 5 ½”, score and fold at 2 ⅛” and 4 ¼”
- Lemon Lime Twist – 4″ x 4″, score and fold at 2″
- Lemon Lime Twist – 3 ¾” x 3 ¾”
- Berry Burst – 2 ½” x 2 ½”
- Whisper White – 2 ⅛” x 4 ½” and 4″ x 5 ¼”
- Stretch Magic Cord (or fishing line) – 4 ½”
