So happy to have you here for MAKE IT MONDAY! I trust you had a marvelous weekend. Let’s start the week off with a fun tutorial. I call today’s card, TEXTING MY HUBBY. I have a free tutorial to share with you on how to create this simple card.
I shared this card with you on my Facebook Live event last week and so I created the tutorial for you over the weekend.
If there is one thing that best describes Mr. Awesome and I, it is this text conversation.
I ordered this stamp set quite a long time ago but never got around to using it until I started working on my Non-Valentine Valentine series.
Who would have thought this set would lend itself so well to a valentine card!
Gotta stamp the inside too. 🙂
Not able to create today? Why not create a file in your “Documents” on your computer and call it MAKE IT MONDAY? Or, you can always search the Categories (right side bar) and click on MAKE IT MONDAY and you will see all of them.
Here’s what you’ll need to create the TEXTING MY HUBBY card. Use what you have, order what you need. Just click a pic!
I’m not a big TV watcher. I have a couple of shows that I really like but it seems every show I really like gets canceled. My other struggle is that I find a show that I like and the networks change the day it’s on or the show is on a mid-season break. Ugh. I know I could set up the DVR but I can’t figure out this universal remote. When I try, I just want to throw it up against the wall.
One show that Mr. Awesome and I really liked was “This is Us”. We watched the first season and stayed on top of it. When the second season came out, we recorded the first episode, then the next, then got busy and said we would come back to it…. and never did.
This weekend, we went on a “This is Us” binge. We felt we were too far behind so we started at the beginning again. We are totally addicted all over again!! We are just a few episodes into the second season SO DON’T TELL ME what happens but MAN THIS IS GETTING GOOD!
I probably should have done something productive over the weekend like, oh I don’t know, laundry or something, but I must say, it felt good to have a “do nothing but binge watch TV” kind of weekend. 🙂
I have enjoyed going through my stamp sets and finding sets that aren’t designed for Valentine’s Day and creating cards that work perfectly for Valentine’s Day. There are SO many!

Love this non-valentine Valentine card, Connie. It is adorable! I had passed over this set, but now seeing it in use, it looks very interesting. It’s a good thing to have a down weekend every now and then to just veg. Glad you did something fun! Enjoy your day!
I always say I would like to write the TV people. They always cancell our favorite shows. Major crimes is one they just ended? It is nice to have a relaxing week-end once in awhile. Another great card. Thank you
