Happy Memorial Day to my USA stamping friends! I hope you are enjoying a nice long weekend and today off of work. Why not take some time to create today since you don’t have to be in the office!
I have a beautiful Make It Monday tutorial for you. It was designed by my friend Linda and I wanted to share it with you because it was such a wonderful technique and a great way to add that burst of color without a lot of work.
I love the “spotlight” look of this card, don’t you?
The sentiment is from Bookcase Builder but any sentiment would be lovely here.

Can I make a recommendation? Create a file in your “Documents” on your computer and call it MAKE IT MONDAY so you can always find the downloads whenever you need them. Or, you can always search the Categories (left side bar) and click on Make It Monday. You will see all of them in one place.

Best. Day. EVER!!! Yesterday we drove to Tulsa, OK to see a musical I have been dying to see – “Something Rotten“. The show was absolutely FABULOUS!!! It’s been a long time since a show has moved up the ranks in my list of Top 10 favorites but “Something Rotten” just earned the #1 slot.
The cast was amazing and oh so talented and I was beyond excited to see Adam Pascal (whom I have loved since I heard him sing in the original “Rent” soundtrack) played William Shakespeare. He stole my heart!!! He was so fun to watch and you could tell he was having a blast in the role.
I found a fun video from “The Today Show” if you’d like to get a little taste of it but let me just say, if you love musicals, THIS is a “run don’t walk” to see it show!!!
And here is a fun piece of trivia for you. The guy in this video who played Nick Bottom is one of my favorite actors, Brian D’Arcy James. Well, I was digging through some old Playbills from shows I’ve seen and I found “Les Miserable” from 1991. Mr. Awesome and I saw it on our honeymoon. A little slip of paper fell out of the program and it had the understudies listed for our performance and you guessed it, Brian’s name was on that list. He was understudying for a no-name character! We must have seen him in this when he was a struggling actor. I flipped my lid when I realized that we had seen him “way back when”! It always makes me smile when I see him now.
It’s a shame the show closed yesterday or I would have paid to see it again.
That’s it for me today! I am going to enjoy the day with Mr. Awesome and the girls! I hope you have a wonderful day as well!
