Anyone else out there COLD? Here in the USA, it’s been a very cold winter so today I wanted to share a little SUNSHINE. I have a sweet and simple YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE card for today’s MAKE IT MONDAY.
I absolutely love the Sunshine Sayings stamp set and the matching Sunshine Wishes thinlits. The “sunshine” die cut absolutely makes this card pop!
Not sure if you can see it in the photo but the dot above the i is a pretty little shiny Perfect Accent that I colored with a Sharpie. I also used one in the center of the flower as well.
I’m not a Stampin’ Blends expert but I found that with these markers, you don’t have to be. This stamp set lends itself beautifully to the Stampin’ Blends too.
Not able to create today? Why not create a file in your “Documents” on your computer and call it MAKE IT MONDAY? Or, you can always search the Categories (right side bar) and click on Make It Monday and you will see all of them.
Here’s what you’ll need to create the YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE card. Use what you have, order what you need. Just click a pic!
*Also available in Wood Mount
Join me Wednesday over on Facebook because you won’t want to miss this event! This week, I will be sharing some “Non-Valentine Valentines”. You may be asking, “What on earth does that mean?” Let me explain. This week’s Facebook Live I will be sharing some Valentine cards that are made with stamp sets that aren’t designed for Valentine’s Day. What does this mean for you? It means using stamp sets you may already have in your stash OR ideas for stamp set that will carry you all year long rather than a single day. How does that sound? I think it will be fun so plan to join me!
WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 24th at Simply Simple Stamping on Facebook at the time below:

Here’s a new one…. our beagle, Buddy, was acting REALLY strange on Friday. He was making this weird outward snore sound. That’s really the only way I know how to describe it. Well, I knew something wasn’t right so I got in into the vet. Turns out he has a cold. I had no idea dogs could get colds. Poor little guy. The vet got him on some little doggie antihistamines and an antibiotic. He felt much better by Friday night. Now, Buddy is an old dog and I won’t lie. I was worried when I took him in that he might be looking at the Rainbow Bridge but I was so relieved that it was just a cold.
Had some fun “girl time” with Christina and Ginny all day on Sunday and then Mr. Awesome took us all out for dinner. That was nice to have the four of us together like that.
I did have some time to stamp this weekend too. My Paper Pumpkin kit arrived on Friday and for those of you who are subscribers, you know what I’m going to say. This kit was FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!! Am I right? 16 cards and envelopes, one of the sweetest little stamp sets, and I still can’t believe I get all that for $20 a month. I absolutely LOVED it and I really enjoyed creating with it.
I hope that you had a relaxing weekend as well! Are you ready to tackle the week? We can do this!!! Let’s go face Monday with a smile!

Thank you for this card today. Just the card to send to my sister. When I call my youngest sister I always play that song as soon as she answers. I have not been able to talk to her for nearly 2 months due to her health issues in another state.
