Thank you for tuning in today Anna!
Connie, I am a little confused by the paper chart. Looking at the far left, if I am cutting an 8.5 x 11 sheet in half at the 5.5 mark. . . so I have two pieces that are 8.5 by 5.5 inches. The chart says one piece that size.
Cris, check the numbers on the left because I was only able to fit up to 5 ¾” on both sides. There ins’t an 8 ½” measurement on the chart. I hope that helps.
Thank you so much for sharing! So exicted to use it
Enjoy it Cynthia ❤️
Thank you for the chart..
You’re welcome Melba!
Thank you for the chart.
My pleasure!
Tried to click on it to download but it didn’t come up.
Christine, it is a download so it may have landed in your Download folder. Check there. I hope you find it.
This chart is amazing but I am having trouble printing it. The 8.5 side numbers are cutting off. Any suggestions?
Try setting your margins to zero (they will automatically change to the smallest size possible). Hope that works!
I had the same problem so I “copied the image” and pasted it in word; then I enlarged it to the landscape sheet and had no problem then. I copied the one above the one that says to download (the one right under her picture at the top).
I do love this chart but do you have one or have you planned one for 12×12 papers? It would be amazing to add to our arsenal. Thank you for this one and I hope to see the other one when you can.
Stay Tuned! It’s an upcoming video.
Can’ wait. You are the best!
So glad you liked it!
Connie, Thank you so much for sharing! I really enjoy your videos and your spirit. This chart has been very helpful. I also shared with my Stampin’ Up friends.
Sincerely, Dana
Thanks, Connie, this guide is a lifesaver! You nailed it! Enjoy your day!
I’m so glad you found this helpful Hilda! Have a great one yourself!!
I tried to print out the paper guide, but because it was in grey ink, it did not print out very well. Thanks anyway
Hmmm, I’m not really sure why that would happen. I’m sorry, I am not very knowledgeable about printers (there are so many different kinds out there) so I won’t be able to help you.
Just an idea….Maybe take the file (save to a flash card or memory stick) and have Office Depot or Kinkos or even at Walmart, print it out for you. Hope this helps.
Good idea Patty. I am not familiar with all the different kinds of printers out there so I can’t be much help in helping with printer issues.
You could change the print color from color to black and white and this might help.
Great idea!
Thank you so much for sharing such a useful tool!
You’re welcome!
Thank you for the chart today–it is awesome !!!
I’m so happy that you found this so helpful Helen!
Hi Connie, thank you so much for all your helpful information and tutorials. just downloaded the chart and will laminate it this afternoon Charlotte
That sounds like a great plan Charlotte!
Great tool. I am laminating mine so it should last a long time
Perfect, Linda!
i saw this somewhere a long time ago and searched for it last week! Thank you for sharing! Such a great guide.
Yes, it is my favorite money saving tool! I have mine from several years ago when you offered them and put it in a page protector. Still works 🙂 I like having the 12 inch one on the other side as well. Only thing you didn’t mention was the “Mr. Wonderful” came up with it. Kudos to him!!
I’m so glad that you found this helpful Beth!
Thanks Connie! Definitely saves time! Do you have one for 12 X 12?? ? Thanks for sharing!
I’m so glad that you like this Mary!
Thanks Connie, I know this will be a wonderful help!
Enjoy Ann!

That’s great Ethel! I hope you find it helpful!
Fabulously helpful! Thanks so much!
You’re welcome Leslie!
I’m having trouble with the download. Says it is downloaded but nothing is there. Says an error has occured.
I’m so sorry Lois. The file is there and downloading fine for others so be sure and check your computer download folder to see if it stored it there.
I just printed my copy of the cutting guide on hot pink cardstock so I will always be able to find it!! Thanks, Connie!
How fun! Enjoy, Melinda!
Thank you for this idea. I just reprinted mine onto hot pink also. Great idea; will remember this for future things I don’t want to lose.
You can’t misplace that, can you? Great idea!
Awesome template! Thank you very much.
You’re welcome Diane!
I’m trying to see the video but its saying it is restricted?
I have no idea why. I haven’t heard from anyone else that they aren’t able to watch. Are you trying to watch from work or some remote location other than home? It could be where you are watching from is blocking YouTube videos?? Try again!
Thank you Connie
You’re welcome!
Thank you so much for the FREE chart. I love your videos. They are so helpful.
You’re welcome! I’m so glad you love the ideas I share!
Another WINNER dear Connie!! I printed this great chart up and laminated it and gave it to my Tuesday Card Class Ladies. Oh Connie because they make multiple cards at times (like Christmas) they were so thrilled once I explained how the chart works!! A HUGE THANK YOU FROM COLORADO!!
Carryn, this is so wonderful! I am so glad your friends enjoyed it!
Thank you so much for the Free chart!! It’s definitely going to be a paper saver and time.
Enjoy it Shelby!
This is just fantastic Connie Thank you so much
❤️ You are so welcome Vicky!
Connie,
When I printed out the chart, it only printed about half of it that filled an 81/2 x11 sheet of paper. What am I doing wrong?
You might check the settings on your printer. It needs to be printed in landscape.
I’ve been using this template and love it! For those asking for other size templates, I recommend using the app called DyCut. It’s very easy to use and you can customize it to the starting size of your paper, so it works well for those using 12X12 or 6X6 papers!
Thank you for sharing this app Juleen! It sounds great!
You are TOO SWEET! Thank you so much for such a useful tool!!! Great tip to print it out on card stock as well! Now to either put it in a sheet protector or laminate it. Thank you once again Connie! Great job as usual with your Tuesday Tips Videos!! 🙂
Thank you so much!
I am a relative “newbie” at coloring and card making and this chart is absolutely wonderful. Thank you for taking the time to share this with us. Things like this tend to make things just a wee bit less frustrating and a whole lot more enjoyable. Love your YouTube site too!
Carol, your comment made my day!
Connie, can’t thank you enough for all your great tips, videos & now this template for card cutting. I will be sharing it AND giving your site to my ATC club next meeting. A lot of them are also card makers so I know this will be a valuable tool for them. You are the BEST!!!! Judy
Thank you so much for sharing it Judy ❤️
Thank you for sharing. Look forward to using this chart and not having to sit and figure out the best use of my card stock. Do you have one for12 x 12. Thanks much. From Wisconsin.
I am going to work on a 12×12 chart 🙂
Thank you Connie for the free chart, I will be using this everyday!
Wahoo! I’m so happy you enjoyed it!
Thank you Connie – appreciate all the ideas and tips! Miss hearing about the family tho – hope all is going well!
Oh, there have been updates sprinkled throughout. Right now the girls and I are in a play at our local theatre so we are busy with that.
Thank you for sharing this wondering chart. Any idea if there is a 12×12 cutting guide out there?
Big thank you from Arizona.
I am going to work on a 12×12 chart
Thank-you for sharing this wonderful tip, Connie. I remembered to expand the computer screen for easier reading.
Also, I want to congratulate you on your one million dollars in sales, what an awesome achievement !
Thanks again.
Aww, thank you Joan!
Connie – you are amazing! Thank you for your generosity in sharing your time and talent. I love being able to make cards and it has been a great therapy for me. It has also allowed me to give back and to make cards for two charities here in Tulsa. The best was when I got one of my “thank-you” cards back to me from Porta Caeli, thanking me for supplying them with “thank-you” cards. Now I know how to get the most from my card stock and to help me make more cards for them. God bless you.
Oh how cool is that?! It’s always nice to hear from a fellow Okie too.
Thank you so very Much !!!!!
You’re welcome ❤️
Thank you Connie.
You’re welcome Jenny ❤️
Connie, I love Stampin’ Up products and have been a customer for about 19 years. This guide will really help me and I plan on sharing with my stampin buddies. Thanks for sharing this and your creativity!

for the cutting guide.
You’re welcome! I’m so glad you enjoyed it Darlene!!
You are, as always, FREAKING AMAZING! This chart is excellent. Now if I can just remember how it works!! Thank you so much for sharing.
I’m so glad you enjoyed this Jane! You can always do a couple of things to help you find the video when you need to re-watch… #1 Add the video to your YouTube playlist so you can quickly find it again and #2 save the blog image to your favorite pinterest board. Enjoy!!
Thank you, Connie! I enjoy your videos also!
I’m so glad that you enjoy these Lisa! Thanks!!
Thank you so much for all your little tips and tricks, your my fav.
You’re so sweet Geri! I’m thrilled that you liked this project!!

I have this somewhere in my craft room, I need to go and dig it out, it will be so useful. Thanks again Connie, just love how you love to share with us!
Enjoy it Lynn!
As usual Connie, another great and very informative video, may it long continue
Thanks so much Margaret! I’m glad you enjoyed this video!!
Yay! Always wished “someone” would give help specifically here. You did it. Many thanks!
I’m so glad you found it helpful!
Connie, Can you please tell me what size paper it prints on? It seems bigger than letter size. Thank you for all the wonderful time savers you provide.
It’s 8 ½” x 11″. You may need to set your margins on your printer to zero (they will adjust to the smallest size possible). This will ensure you get the entire chart printed.
A friend just introduced me to your site & I have spent hours viewing many of your Tuesday Tips & learning about your Flash Card idea. Thanks for sharing.
Oh Vicky, thank you for checking it all out. Thank you friend for me too! If you don’t have a Stampin’ Up demonstrator, I would love to be yours!
Thank you so much for the chart. Just printed it, Love it.
Great! I’m so glad you enjoyed this Judie!
Thank you for your work creating this wonderful card stock saving tool.
You’re welcome Wanda! I am so thrilled you liked it!
A great big Thank You!
You’re welcome Jeanne!
Connie, thank you for this wonderful chart. However, I cannot seem to get it to print. I have tried several times on different days, with no results. Can you help me?
Pamela, I really don’t know a lot about printers. I’m sorry I can’t help with that.
You’re a doll Connie!!! Thank you so much for supplying this chart for free!! I’ve printed it on copy paper…but will laminate it to give it some sturdiness as well! 😉 Thanks again!! I love your lively videos!! They’re always awesome!! xo
Enjoy it Sharon! I hope it comes in handy for you!
Thank you for creating this super cutting guide…SUPER!!!
So glad you found it helpful!
Hey Connie. Just stumbled over your video on pinterest – what a fab chart. I was wondering if I’m allowed to convert into cm – and use in. I’m located in Denmark, Europe. Thank you.
If you can convert it, that would be great. I am not familiar with cm and that is why I was only able to create it for inches.
I just happened to run across this – Thanks a million this will help a lot…Now the ultimate question – will you come up with the 12×12 version for DSP 🙂 Thanks for sharing
I’m working on one so stay tuned!
Love the paper cutting guide, but I was not able to print it out 🙁
Darlene, I am not able to help with printer issues. I really couldn’t say why it won’t print out. Sorry.
Darlene have you tried saving the template to a USB stick and printing of somewhere else or if you have a smart phone taking it to a stationary place and connecting via wifi etc and print off that way hope it prints off for you.
Your chart is such a great idea! Thanks so much Connie!
Looking forward to the 12×12 version too.
Thank you Corinne! I’m glad you liked it!
Thank you so much for sharing your cutting guide chart.
You’re welcome Priscilla!
Thank you for this great information!
You’re so welcome Ann!
Hi Connie, this looks amazing!!….however, I live in Australia and the dimensions of our card stock are different to yours 🙁
So, I don’t think downloading it will be helpful for me? If you have any advice I’d appreciate it.
Cheers!
Kim.
(PS: I have followed your blog for a long time now and find it fabulous for loads of tips and ideas….thank you!).
I’m so glad you enjoy this channel Kim; thanks so much!! You’re welcome to download the chart and convert it if you need to.
I tried to download to print this off but all that happened was a bazillion tabs opened and I got nothing.
Hmmm, I have no idea why that would happen. I wish I could help but that one has me baffled.
I totally agree with thesweetinker. One frustration less :P. Could you, if you have the time for it, make a chart for cardstock for followers from outside the US and Canada? We have to work with A4 and when I want to make your cards, or, like now, use your cutting guide, I always have (sometimes lots of) scraps and the paper is too beautiful to waste 😀
Could you, by any chance, if you have nothing else to do :), make a “use for the rest of the world” template for the flash cards too?
I always look out for your YT videos, whatever you make, I always like them. They are beautiful, nice and quick and especially that is with all the busy schedules we have, a great thing. And, … I like your spirit 😀
Thanks a lot for all the beautiful things you share with us
I understand your frustration Rit but I am just not familiar with the metric system. You might ask your demonstrator if they might be able to create something for you.
This is fabulous! Thank you so much, I already have it in a protective sleeve. ?
Wonderful! I hope you enjoy it!
Thank u How about a template for 12 by 12 Cardstock template
Yep, there is a chart for 12×12 too! https://simplysimplestamping.com/a-paper-cutting-guide-for-12-x-12/
Could you do one in UkK measurements?
Lucy-Anne, I am sorry but I am not familiar with UK measurements (I’m in the USA and we use imperial). You might check with your demonstrator and see if they can create something like this for you.
Awesome guides for 8.5 x 11 and 12 x 13. Thank you!!
I’m so glad you liked it. It is such a great tool to have on hand.
Thank you so much, Connie for the awesome guide. I am learning so much from your YouTube Channel
Ginger, that makes my day! Thank you!
I waste so much cardstock when making my projects and this guide will save me lots of time and money!! Thank you very much for developing this amazing chart ❤️!!
Connie, thank you so much for this amazing tip using this guide sure will help me out lots and save money also.
Enjoy!!!
