Here’s my little secret: the cards that get the biggest gasps aren’t always the most complicated ones to make. These standing pop-up beauties? They’re my go-to when I want someone to think I spent hours crafting when really, I was sipping coffee and enjoying every relaxing minute. There’s something magical about watching someone’s face light up when they open a card that literally pops to life.
For these gorgeous examples, I used two of my current favorites from Stampin’ Up! – the Sweet Blooms stamp set for that floral card, and the adorable Gingerbread Man Bundle for the festive holiday version. What I love about this technique is its versatility; you can easily adapt it to match any stamp set in your collection, making it suitable for any occasion, season, or recipient’s personality. Whether you’re going for sweet and sophisticated or fun and whimsical, these standing cards showcase your stamped images in a whole new dimension.

- Real Red: 5 ½” x 9 ¼” (card base)
- With the 9 ¼” at the top, score at 1 ½” and 2 ¾” on each end
- Afternoon Azure: (2) 3 ½” x 5 ¼” (front/back layers)
- Basic White: (2) 3 ¼” x 5” (front/back)
- Shaded Spruce: 5 ½” x 9 ¼” (card base)
- With the 9 ¼” at the top, score at 1 ½” and 2 ¾” on each end
- Crumb Cake: 4” x 5 ¼” (gingerbread man)
- Cherry Cobbler: 2 x 2 ½” (hat & lollypop)
