Well the first camping trip in the new RV is in the books…. and it was amazing! There were only 3 other RV’s in the campground so it was super quiet. It was a chilly weekend but this new RV is really well insulated. In fact, I had to get up in the night and turn the heat down (for those that know me well, this NEVER happens).

Since we couldn’t be at our church on Sunday morning, we opted for the pre-recorded version. That was nice though. I brought a bunch of stamping stuff with me and sadly I never got it out of the box. I chose to nap instead….and it was glorious! There is nothing like napping in the woods, listening to the trees blow in the wind.

Mr. Awesome had all sorts of little projects he wanted to do to get the RV where he wanted it. I think he got most of them done. We needed a grill for this RV (our other one is meant to stay with the old camper). Rich had been eyeing this griddle-style grill for awhile but it was upwards of about $350 with all the accessories you need. As luck would have it, he found it at WalMart on a “one day sale” for $96 for everything so we made a quick run into town to snatch it up before they were gone. A man with a new grill is fun to watch. He was so excited about his bargain find.

We knew there was a rainstorm coming in around 7pm so around 4pm, we knew it was time to tear things down. The weathermen had it wrong. The rain came in around 4:30 – as we were putting everything away. Well, a little rain never hurt anyone and all was good… just damp.

Next weekend can’t come soon enough!!!!
