Happy Friday everyone! Are you ready for the long weekend? It’s Labor Day weekend and I know a lot of you have big plans for the weekend. The Stewarts? Well, as much as we wished we could go camping, Mr. Awesome has a big project due at his office so that was a no-go. Boo. We were really hoping to get out this weekend. Well, on the upside, the campgrounds tend to be really busy on Labor Day. I think I will just say inside and do some holiday stamping with my new toys from the Holiday catalog.
Before I get whisked away playing, let me share the STAMPIN’ GALS GONE WILD WEEKEND CHALLENGE!
This weekend’s sketch has SO many possibilities!
- The bottom layer can be Designer Paper, embossed cardstock or stamped!
- The circles can be a framelit, flowers, leaves… anything really!
- The flag can be a banner, ribbon, you name it!
- The sentiment can go anywhere – get creative!
So, your challenge is…..over the weekend create something with this layout, share your creations on the Facebook group, and enjoy some great feedback from other Wild Girls. Our group of ‘wild’ stampers is now over 2,300 strong!
C’mon, you’re going to need some creative time this weekend! Why not play along?

Here is what I created for this Weekend’s Challenge…
I am just LOVING my first card. Isn’t it funny when you start a card, what you have in your head is nothing like what comes out on paper? Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t but this time it worked out MUCH better than I thought. I love this card!
I did learn one thing…. I absolutely MUST get the Leaflets framelits that match this stamp set. I didn’t like fussy cutting those leaves. The framelits go with the Lighthearted Leaves stamp set. The same set of framelits go with the Vintage Leaves stamp set too (and even come as a bundle – wahoo!)
I also use my new favorite bundle, Acorny Thank You – stamp set and matching acorn punch. It is fabulous! This acorn works beautifully with the card.
Before you look closely at my next card, I have to tell you what happened. When I went to photograph it, I knocked it down, GLITTER SIDE DOWN, on the floor. UGH! It wasn’t dry and I know better than to mess with a card that isn’t dry but I was in the hurry. Card ruined. I tried to fix it as best I could since I didn’t have time to recreate it.
I love the Festival of Trees Bundle – stamp set and Tree punch. Isn’t it fabulous? Three shades of green – Mossy Meadow, Garden Green, and Old Olive mixed with Very Vanilla and Cherry Cobbler.
Let’s just pretend that my Cherry Cobble Dazzling Details look amazing, okay?
Here’s a list of the supplies I used to create my cards today. If you would like to make your own version, just click a pic to order! Remember, if you use the Host Code WYPGUPPR on your order of $20 or more, you will receive the September “Let’s Get Creative” exclusive video & tutorial!
